Armed robbery is not the same as torture. LOL

Edit: I changed from support to quiet laughter btw.

If Blair states he knowingly allowed torture to happen, he ought to face UK court too and go to jail.

    I don't have a President btw. I have a Queen.

Sorry, didn't read your profile but the question remains, how would you feel if your leadership could have prevented the death of one of your loved ones but didn't? Waterboarding wasn't classified as torture by the lawyers regardless of what you claim and that action saved a lot of American lives. I support what Bush did and would take him back in a heartbeat.

No problem. I would not support torture and I wouldn't take back Blair if you paid me.

Any further words I might add would be against the house rules, but contemptible would be among them..
You don't understand the term moral equivalenancy. I have at no time said they were equal. But one does not excuse the other. In the past, we had the moral grounds to condem such actions, from the lessors to the worse. Today, we no longer have that moral high ground. Even those who do worse, and thus not equal, can point to us and ask who are we to talk, and they would be correct to do so. We say that is is fine for us, but not others. That's illogical, and a bit self serving to say the least.

So, you may hide behind false outrage, arguing against a claim not made, pretending that we are justified in being illegal and abusive, but only in world in which the nationalist wears blinders would that be considered patriotism.

Never made such a claim. Only that we now make it acceptable for them to do so. We have said torture is OK.

Noticed again that you ignored when I gave you a link to another source that refutes what you posted. What makes the NY Times more credible?

Margaret Thatcher, in a television interview for Thames TV This Week on February 5, 1976. Prime Minister Thatcher said, "...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them."
