Geopoltically I view current conditions in the world to be very similar to that of pre WW1
World War I was started after a Serbian nationalist assassinated the Archduke of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, perhaps the fifth most powerful nation on Earth at the time.

    Just thought I'd say.

And then everything went to **** under Bush. Two unwinnable wars. Disastrous financial policies and deregulation. Having an entire society based on greed and gluttony (and housing prices that have to continue to rise).

If you're looking for the reason Americas dominance has declined. You need only look in the mirror.
Absolute nonsense. American greatness was lost when the character of the American people changed.

Obama has merely stated the obvious, that the world is multipolar now, instead of the US being the predominant superpower. Want to blame someone for that? How about Bush, who trashed respect for the US, when he went to war on a lie?

I have no love for Obama at all. I think what he is doing to the nation is hideous, but I am not going to turn a blind eye to Bush and rewrite history. Bush embraced PNAC, which was an insane thing to do, and this resulted in the loss of respect for the US throughout the entire world. It all begins with Bush, and Obama merely continues what he started. Don't like that? Then start supporting third parties, because the Democrats and Republicans have both sold our nation down the river. Any other position, based on support for one political party or the other, is just plain hyperpartisan and dishonest.
