I don't buy toys for their resale value.

Then why buy any at all? The thing about buying toys is selling them at a profit to buy more toys.

I have bought and sold over 7 boats and never lost one penny in the resell and always traded up for something better.

It's simple, how I play with my toys may not be how you play with your toys. My passion has always been speed. Buy it, build it, race it. There's not much resale in that, but it sure is fun. My toys are for me to enjoy, bottom line. I don't care what someone else is willing to pay for it.

Then you know little about Bikes. There is big money in old Harley's and Indians. Even old english bikes are worth money.

So you have no problem wasting money on a bike that will be worthless in a few years.

I will get money back from my Bike no matter how long I keep it. People are out there looking for basket cases of Harley's because they can make money on them by rebuilding them.

You also have no idea what my bike is a Shadow will never compare to my Limited.

Don't be obnoxious. I already stated that I don't buy my toys as an investment. I buy them to play with them. I'd rather have something I can beat up than something that's a glorified garage queen. If I enjoy it, then in no way is it a waste of money. Btw, I managed a bike shop for several years and still ride when I can to this day. I dare say I know a bit about the subject, I just don't emphasize the same aspects you do (image, resale value, etc)

Btw, I don't own a Shadow or any other Honda. I used that because you were picking on it as a "Harley wannabe" and I demonstrated how the poor little "imitator" is superior to anything Harley offers in its class. Your Limited is not in the same class, but there are import alternatives that outperform it too. I can elaborate if youíd like.

Now, I didnít attack you for what you ride, so letís keep the insults off the table. As stated earlier, if you like your Harley, fine, great. Ride it with pride, just know that people with a different opinion or a desire for a higher level of performance arenít in the wrong.

Superior in some aspects. For me the comfort and features far out weigh the speed that kills many on the highways. Also you will never have a Honda that sounds like my Harley.

Granted, and it is a good thing whenever a U.S manufactured good is sold overseas anywhere. But all of these sales and agreements, although announced now, had zero net result due to Obama going to India. I'm not against such trips, and do understand the added cost of security, but feel this trip is too encumbered by costs, and will be as a political anchor on Obama's neck. There needed to be some evidence of a better respect for teh taxpayer dollar, and there was not. They could have met at a remote resort, or on an Indian military base, and not had this be such a blunder in Presidential trip economics.

So Barack and Michelle got to dance with the kids. I don't think it was worth the price of admission.

Different strokes, my friend. Ride what you enjoy, like I said. I have no aspirations to own any sort of Honda cruiser, but you'll never have a Harley that sounds like my 2004 Cobra.
