What would you call it when someones answer to that statement is:

    Nor should they be.
In my opinion that's about as opposed to what this nation was founded on as it gets, and what led me to the opinion that the statement was "Anti-American", and therefore the person who made it was also.

If McDonalds is smart they will just lower the cost of the happy meal and don't include a toy in it and then just offer to sell the toy separately for $1. Then they would not only circumvent this dumb law, but make a profit from it.

On a side note, I fond it amusing that some who cry "our freedoms are being taken away by this" are some of the same folks that have no problem with making drugs illegal, denying gays the freedom to marry, and who get upset over a 0.35 second tit shot from Janet Jackson. Yes those people have proven what hypocrites they are.

You can overdose on drugs and die instantly... I haven't heard of a child overdosing on happy meals.

denying gays the freedom to marry
You mean denying gay "marriage", not denying the civil union of gay couples. That argument is over terminology, not legal recognition.

and who get upset over a 0.35 second tit shot from Janet Jackson.
That's a question of morality and has nothing to do with selling products that are perfectly legal in every single state in the union.

Yes those people have proven what hypocrites they are.
While others make dishonest arguments to attack those they disagree with politically.

I don't need to look up freedom. I've been confronted with its horrible visage, and declined to grant it my affections.
In America, people are still free to make wrong decisions. Well, everywhere except SF. Oh wait.... people in Ca are always making wrong decisions.

That makes no sense. Even if it was Ok to take rights away from obese people (which it's not) you are taking rights away from skinny people.
Should alcohol be banned again because some people are alcoholics?
SF is taking freedoms away from a private business because they don't like how they advertise.
I'm getting so sick of the nanny state path we are on. This country is about individual freedoms and that includes the right to sell or buy legal products without government intrusion.

    It's a dumb friggin' law.....

    .
We'd have to get better information on how exactly it was designed to curb obesity/addiction to McDonald's to really know what the information out there states. Were all really just grasping blindly and opinionatedly at the dark. Maybe it would work

Alcoholism isn't comparable to obesity which is epidemic. Last I checked the right doesnt support the right to suicide and they should agree that the obese should not be able to kill themselves on food. The business profits from addiction to its product and would be happy to feed everyone till they freaking popped. Someone has to step in and do something on that occasion.

Referring back to your ideological vocabulary means nothing.

"Cept every time you eat a cookie you are not "making a wrong decision". Eating a cookie isn't going to make you big and strong, but they sure taste good. All things in moderation as the saying goes.

Kids like McDonalds food cuz it tastes good. Parents just need to reflect good sense when it comes to how often they visit....
