It wouldn't be legal btw. It just wouldn't be subject to criminal penalties.
The only reason people would cross borders to get it would be if it were significantly cheaper.
AFAIK, there's plenty of pot available in all 50 states.
    I may be wrong.

How long before this goes before a judge and the will of the people is ignored...again?

That depends. Do those who seek to keep marijuana illegal have ironclad reasons for doing so, backed up by expert testimony and evidence which would stand up under scrutiny in a court of law? If so, they are miles ahead of the Prop 8 crowd, which had none of these.

I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar the DEA purposely waited until after prop 19 to pull this off...

U.S. authorities have discovered 30 tons of marijuana that were part of a smuggling operation using a tunnel under the California-Mexico border, officials said Wednesday.

This is what the older conservative crowd wanted, they'd rather allow Mexican drug cartels to profit of Marijuana rather than the government. You know if it was legal they would have probably shut the tunnel down but now they'll probably just dig another one.
I use a lot of satire and sarcasm so keep that in mind when reading my posts.

Good to know. Still doesn't change the fact California is losing decent amount of money by not passing this.

True. There are quite a lot of scandalous things we can allow and tax. Let us try LSD as an example next.

LSD and weed aren't even close to the same thing. I think people would honestly be surprised how many people they knew that have done weed at least once or twice.

So, ignore many great works of literature, art, and music, plenty of classical philosophers, and many scientists during the last century. Many of those folks used drugs, and to excess. And many of our political leaders. Coke-fiend GWB anyone?
