That was a random example. Weed is carcinogenic and more potent than in the 60's. Ideally, tobacco should be banned as well because it kills more and costs more in healthcare. But because of addiction, that will never happen.

Really? Can you list any medical case histories supporting your accusation?

Proposition 19 to legalize marijuana defeated | abc7.com

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One of the most controversial measures on Tuesday's ballot is Proposition 19, the initiative to legalize, regulate and tax marijuana in California. It was sure to be challenged, even if voters approved it. Some lawmakers had already been preparing to tax cannabis sales. The measure was defeated Tuesday night.

The Associated Press called the measure defeated at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.
I think it failed because people who smoke didn't get behind it because of the tax, or they realized it was pretty much a waste of effort because the POT HEAD Governator signed a new law just a few days ago that made possession equal to a traffic ticket, for an ounce or less.

Besides if you can afford it go to one of the Medical dispensers and get a Prescription and if you get caught by less than the DEA or FBI just flash the phony Prescription and as long as you're not driving stoned you're home free. No harm no foul.

The big deal in California is the Death on the State do to the failure of Prop- 23 and which will cost every family in the State about $10,000 a year and tha't before all the taxes that will come because the fools voted to allow the Liberals to control all future budgets with no input of anyone else like it or not, and with Brown back in charge there is nothing to stop the Unions from further destroying what little is left of the economy.

This State is going to die a quick death now and I have talked with many people who are preparing to move before the total collapse.

    I am one of them.

Hell they can add an in state I.D. requirement that should cover that.
