Question - did McDonald's put a gun to the employees heads and order them to vote Republican? I didn't think so. No story here, and by the same token, I also support the right of a Democrat who works at or owns a McDonald's to do the same thing. It's called freedom of speech.

In Indiana, the polls were only open from 7 AM to 6 PM where I lived (EST). There are many days where I would work that entire time.

We didn't give any warnings or tell anyone how to vote, but after the 2006 elections we terminated several. After the 2008 elections, we terminated a lot more.

Don't know how good of a metric this is but if you Bing "republican vote buying" you get 2,100,000 hits.

If you Bing "democrat vote buying" you get 3,490,000.

Seems that there is plenty on both sides. Doesn't mean that its not something to be diligent about, but it isn't something on which either side can claim any moral high ground (and that is a shame).

Absentee/early voting is offered on weekends. No one can offer up the excuse that they didn't have time off, to vote.

Do YOU want someone shoving their politics down your throat with the threat of losing your job? That is OK with you?
How would they know who you vote for? You can still vote for anyone you want.

Doesnt matter if they know who you voted for, it is the principal of the thing, are you ok with someone forcing their politics down your throat with the threat of losing your job?
