This thread is making me sad...
BD, if we carry this out, I am going to enter the realm of attacking your religious beliefs. I would rather not do it, so let's just take go with an "agree to disagree" thing here please.
The dead horse has been beaten. If you want to be a christian, it's a sin. Don't like it? Take it up with God. Neither of us wrote the bible. The pastor knows this already and why he kept it hidden from the church. Not even all Christian sects agree with this.

Were you going to go ahead and attack mine?

Already took care of yours. It was easy. Painfully easy.
You do not get to determine who or what is a christian. Sorry.

I never did. Even the best christians sin...according to the bible...7 times daily, at least. That's why I said it's between him and God.You do not get to determine who or what is a christian. Sorry.
You can attack it if you like, I have no problem being shown I am wrong.
Be warned I am well versed in the Bible and can show you what it says with crystal clarity.
In the end it will be irrelevant because his religion (seems to be Baptist) dictates it is a sin, so Mellie is not wrong.

I didn't write it, sorry

Really. Where is this belief written in the words of Christ?
On sexual immorality:Really. Where is this belief written in the words of Christ?
However, we are all genetically predesposed towards sin.
No one's forcing you to be a christian, you know.I like that. It tells you a lot about the nature of your God when he encodes sin into your DNA and then tells you to avoid it. That is the kind of absurdity that I find utterly delicious in this world.

And they're clearly wrong, and are clearly deluded in the meaning of christ's death, for it goes against the words of christ himself, who was there from beginning. You know that some Christians believe that Paul was the first man to distort the Bible and the Old Testament no longer applies to man since Jesus died for man's sins. Without Paul and the Old Testament, where does the argument that homosexuality is a sin have grounds in the Bible?

John 14:15
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments."
Darkwizard12 already touched on it but let me continue...
Matthew 19: 3-6 3 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"
4 And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,
5 "and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
6 "So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
He made man and woman for a reason, and says "let no man seperate." Not hard to understand.
