    Seems simple enough to me.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

You -really- mean to argue that -none- of the deficit/debt he's run up so far is his fault?
    How partisan of you.

I don't see him blaming Bush for the stimulus or lower tax revenues due to the recession.

The lower revenue can't be helped and the stimulus was a good thing

In the first independent analysis, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office concluded that President Obama's budget would rack up massive deficits even after the economy recovers, forcing the nation to borrow nearly $9.3 trillion over the next decade.

    We await the spin.

(actually the CBS story is proof positive the media isn't liberal)
    Did you miss this

The National Debt stood at $10.626 trillion the day Mr. Obama was inaugurated. The Bureau of Public Debt reported today that the National Debt had hit an all time high of $13.665 trillion.

The Debt increased $4.9 trillion during President Bush's two terms. The Administration has projected the National Debt will soar in Mr. Obama's fourth year in office to nearly $16.5-trillion in 2012. That's more than 100 percent of the value of the nation's economy and $5.9-trillion above what it was his first day on the job.

I seriously would've preferred that we were the only country without a bailout. Depressions are good for people's characters.

I pointed out the ones he is responsible for (except the fault for lower tax revenue is only partially his). I guess initiatives like the new health care law and race to the top should be added to the list.

Race to the top is a waste of money too
