Young Voters Vent Frustration To Obama In MTV Forum

It is pathetic that these children can not see the truth of the matters at hand. The important issues aren't if there are homosexuals in our military, or Mexicans in our country "stealing our jobs and houses",
THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY BUILT ON IMMIGRANTS.

This was a country that was built on slavery as well. Should we continue to use blacks as slaves simply because that's what happened in the past or should we deal with the reality of today?

The answers to those problems are simple, many "non-issues" tend to pop up around election time, when the real issue is that our economy was doomed long before Obama got into office.

The Economy was problematic and not in good shape when Obama took office. That doesn't magically remove him of any culpability for his inability to do anything to fix it.

If you take over a job where the person previously left it in bad shape specifically to fix it do you think your boss is just going to sit there and go "oh its okay, it was broke before you got there" and just let you be free of any consequenecs? if so, please let me know where you work, as I'd love to have such a cupcake job.

Reality doesn't work like that. Regardless of the fact it was bad before he came in, he was elected to work on fixing it and hasn't done it and arguably has made it worse.

The majority of the bills that democrats have tried to pass, have been turned down 100% by the PARTY OF "NO" (republicans) who HAVE NOT even presented any alternative options.

Actually, much of the bills democrats tried to pass have been turned down by DEMOCRATS. They have a super majority. They don't NEED republicans, and yet still haven't been able to get things like universal health care passed.

What alternative ideas are Republicans supposed to massively push or think will get attention when they're minorities in both houses AND they don't have the presidency. Fun fact, the Republicans put out alternative ideas for most of the things going on, such as Health Care. Guess what, it was barely if at all covered by the media and honestly I can't really blame the media for that (I can blame them though for them going along with the "party of no" bs). Why make a big deal or put a lot of focus on alternative bills that have no shot of passing because they are no where near the needed votes?

The fact is, Republicans drove America to the brink of destruction and bankrupt our country by going to war with an innocent country. (9 years later and naught has been resolved)

In one year Obama raised the deficit more than Bush's two largest years, COMBINED. Obama's first year and projected second year out do Bush's eight years in total. Spare me about your crying of "Bankrupting" the country.

My biggest concern is that we are not looking at the most important issue, and that's the fact that we have been involved in WORLD WAR III for almost 10 years, and WE'RE the one's who started it. I don't like to see my country elect evil-doers into presidency. I'm not saying that Obama has been the best, but at least he acts like he's trying to move this country forward. After the 9/11 attacks, the American people were blinded and robbed and they still have no idea, that this has been a war based upon LIES. Perhaps there is someone out there who could actually help this country more than Obama, but it sure as hell is not Sarah Pailin.

Jesus where to begin.

First off, no, we've not been involved in "World War III" for 10 years. Afghanistan and Iraq can barely be compared to either of the World Wars and in no way have raised to such a level.

Second off, imagining that you must be talking about the War on Terror as a whole or at least both of the current wars we're in rather than JUST Iraq if you're trying to declare it World War III, then no, we did not start it. War was declared on the U.S., attacks were launched upon the U.S.. That was the start of the War on Terror, that was the start of the Afghanistan war.

Thirdly, no, the War on Terror has not been a war based simply upon lies as you attempt to suggest by stating it simply as a being due to lies and nothing else.

Good lord, I'll have what you're having. LOL

Apparently, you were asleep during that whole 9/11 thing (I'm sure you think Bush was behind it). Apparently, you didn't hear Clinton make the same claims, if not stronger, as Bush did regarding WMD in Iraq. Apparently, the past 500 years of constant war in the middle east, WHICH HAS NOW BEEN BROUGHT TO EUROPE AND THE UNITED STATES, is but a minor police responsibility.

November can't get here soon enough.

This country was built on slavery. Careful you don't sound too much like Quanel X.

some observations

1. as to adults in the room---we already heard what they, obama's handpicked audience, had to say at the GEORGETOWN town hall a month ago today---is the profit motive inferior, i'm exhausted from defending you, the inspiration has died, is the american dream dead, is this my new reality, when will you stop whacking wall street like a pinata, are you preparing us for medicare and social security cuts, does your elite education prevent you from really getting us?

2. now, just look at obama's misconceived mutterings in just the last week---stop sulking, buck up, i looked too much like a tax and spend liberal, there's no such thing as a shovel ready job, blacks don't watch meet the press, in tuff times people naturally go tribal, voters are not thinking clearly, they're scared and THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE (wow)

3. concerning this world war 3 business---obama ESCALATED afghanistan, that's why woodward called it OBAMA'S WAR

support is at an all time low, casualties have TRIPLED over there since obama took over, 17 american heroes were slain last week, 386 this year

What the numbers say about progress in Afghanistan – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

iCasualties | Operation Enduring Freedom | Afghanistan

what do you think the kids would say about that? adults?

4. the party of NO is reaping prodigious and well deserved rewards for its adamancy, obama's problem is he always pushed (with the consuming obsession of an ahab) leviathan legislations that were so universally loathed

we won't do that
