They are without healthcare insurance.
What good will the insurance do us if we can't find a doctor to take us? Or if the govt. tells us to take a pain pill instead of getting a pacemaker because we are too old to qualify?
Many of the uninsured are that way because they made that choice, not because they can't afford it.
Others are uninsured because they are illegals.
Many could be insured but haven't applied for medicaid.
Yes, there are some who don't fit those categories. However,
we didn't need a complete overhaul of the greatest healthcare system in the world just because it needs reforming.
The HC bill is all about socialism and control.

To be honest its more expencive now when you consider what an uninsured patient costs they rest of us.
I agree that we will loose some controls over our healthcare and that bothers me a great deal.
