have to disagree.....what are the kids going to say? of course they're going to say they didn't mean anything by it. it was mean spirited and at 18 they know better.
I don't know...pranks like this happen all the time. I think it's an extreme reaction to run and jump off a bridge because of it. I remember in college having a guy over to my room while the roomie was at his thermodynamics class and he came home early from class to find underwear, pants, shoes, etc strewn across the room and then our heads pop out from under the blankets..."By the way, Andre...I'm gay and uh...you know Chuck, right?"
Yeah, when I came out of my room with Chuck...Andre had the entire hall lined up clapping and cheering and heckling us. "Don't drop the soap, chuck!", "Hey where's your leather pants, homo?", etc, etc.
Clearly I never jumped off a bridge over it, everything was A-ok by the time I got back from walking Chuck to his dorm, and life went on...some of those guys are the best friends ever. I actually missed the dorm when I went on to pledge TKE the next year.
Jumping off a bridge was an extreme reaction to a passing situation.
