GOP 'Pledge' makes closing argument to voters

Reforming Congress:

- Will require that every bill have a citation of constitutional authority

- Give members at least 3 days to read bills before a vote

OOOOOOOOOHHHHH I hope they do this!

I don't want to dig back in the past for compiments or criticism. How bout starting now, you let me know the next time our president or his wife praises this great country.

seems he just did...did you bother to watch the townhall?

When asked by another participant whether the ‘American Dream’ was dead, the president said “Absolutely not…We are still the country that billions of people in the world look to and aspire to.”

and of course you don't want to bother.....you never waste your time with facts.

No! No! No! We have to, "pass the bill to see what's in it" --Nancy Pelosi

:rofl

Oh, well, since The Messiah said it, it must be true.

That has GOT to be the stupidest quote of 2010. What a maroon.

Of course they haven't incurred any costs because of Obamacare; it hasn't taken effect, yet...LOL!!!

not that i will discuss this you, but perhaps you should barbie know that it's not taken effect. she seems to think small business is suffering because of something obama has done.......clearly not the case.

tell me, barbie, what costs have small business endured to date because of the health care bill......and what cost does the average small business stand to incur?

Again, it's the uncertainty. No one read the bill so small businesses are uncertain about what is in it.

I know what Donald Trump said about a friend of his. Not a small business of course.
His friend told him the HC bill was going to cost him $100,000,000 and he already gives his employees excellents HC. That and a tax increase means this guy plans to leave the country to some place friendlier to his wallet.

Small businesses haven't suffered, but the country has suffered economically, because small businesses are holding onto their cash, waiting to see what effect Obamacare is going to have on them.

As Barb has said repeatedly, it's the uncertainty that Obamacare creates.

Yea, while he was looking at the floor?

Ok, that's one for you, though I don't think he meant it. :)

2,000 Pages? Show us where that entire bill has been interpreted into common language. I can't wait!!

While you're at it. Show us the benefits that small businesses can expect from Obamacare. Can't wait for that, either!!

If the government takes in $1 billion in tax revenue, then, "common sense", dictates that it can't spend $10 billion. It ain't rocket science. Hoepfully that's what this pledge is about.

It's gotta be better than what have going, now.

No it's not rocket science but it is over the head of just about every Liberal and 100% of Obamas economic team who are currently bailing the sinking ship of Obamanomics.

What balancing spending with income is 5th grade economics as I recall my teacher teaching us how to balance a check book, and there in lies the problem.

Liberals were either dreaming of unicorns and butterflies or learning to smoke dope for the first time.

Okay that's not fair. They already knew how to inhale even though Bill Clinton never learned. Dumb Ass.

Hell no, he didn't mean it. He wants to kill the American Dream. He only made that comment, because it was a good political move.

Michelle Obama, who has benefitted more than 99.9 percent of Americans from living here during her lifetime, said she was proud of America for the first time in her life when her husband won the nomination.

They sat for years in those pews listening to "God damn America!!", and broke bread on many occassions with a known terrorist in Bill Ayers.

These people don't welcome praise of this country. They've spent two years running around the globe apologizing for their "evil" country.

I think his, "economic team", knows exactly what's going and that's why they're bailing so fast. They know the private sector can't survive under the current regulations and they don't want history to tie their names to the debacle.

you don't think they pay taxes? you guys are seriously disturbed.

That's all they've done is pay taxes...LMAO!!!!

You don't see them standing in line to be a part of the peasantry.

By everyone, but the leftists.

Whoever they are. but even if that's true, it isn't, but even if it is, why do you need their priase too? it comes across so much like poor self esteem.

so.......they pay their taxes, and you begrudge them their wealth........why do you hate rich people?

Then have them read it. Hell, there are even places to get the low down on it that are accurate enough to releive a lot of the fear mongering crap. There is no need for anyone being too scared.

You didn't really do that did you?

Not a spelling nazi, just messin' with you...;)

oh my god. if small business owners are too ****ing lazy to read a bill that they THINK affects them negatively, maybe their businesses will fail because they are both stupid and lazy.

are corporate taxes being raised? and please use an example of small business instead of donald trumps "friend"....weren't we discussing small business? never mind, again no facts.
