It's the uncertainty. I just heard they will not be voting on the Bush tax cuts until after the election. If businesses knew they were going to be made permanent it would make a huge difference. And if something was done about the new costs to small businesses in the health care bill, they'd have some sense of security to invest. As it is, they have no idea what's going to happen.

Well, the first step in putting the country on a substainable fiscal path, is to stop creating uncertainty within the private sector, which in turn kills jobs and growth, which means less tax revenue.

The drilling moratoirum didn't do jack **** to create more tax revenue; so, it's not just about cutting spending. It's also about creating a business friendly environment, so that businesses can grow, earn more revenue, hire more employees, pay them above average salaries, because the company is seeing above average profits, thereby creating more tax revenue.

Killing domestic oilfield operations, then turning around and loaning billions to overseas companies to drill for oil, that we will buy from them, and expecting our economy not to take a hit from that, is one of the stupidist ideas in the history of the human race

How have things been since the Libbos took over? We lost 293,000 jobs during the Wreckovery Summer.

Again, what was the unemployment rate when the Repubs were running the show?

Ok, show us some facts. How much good have the Libbos done, since they took over? Are you actually impressed that Stealfromus money was spent on the study of the cocain habits of monkies?
