'Don't ask, don't tell' repeal in doubt

If the Pentagon's study isn't complete, then why the big rush to repeal DADT?

Bottom line: the fact that the Dems would attach DADT to a defense funding bill, just shows what kind of worthless reprobates they really are; using our service members as political fodder.

Technically true, but the risk is so tiny with that exposure that I wouldn't consider it much of a risk at all.

It's a distortion of statistics. You cannot generalize about all gay men in the world by a sample from a city in Canada. That would be like me generalizing about all black women in the world based on a sample taken from Uganda where HIV infection rates are as high as 1 in 3 heterosexuals.

How the hell would you know? When was the last time you were active duty? And I'm not talking about sitting behind a desk, I'm talking about actually being on the ship doing grunt work.

You have absolutely no idea what young people today think. People who sign up knowing that they might die for their country should be able to tolerate the horror of taking a shower next to another dude. And if not, then that's THEIR problem.

except in the gay community I doubt anal sex is that popular...I am sure some straight couples engage in it but I think 90% of all gays do...truth is we will never know...........I know of no bath houses where hundreds of straights make a daisy chain to engage in sex like gays do..............

I was hoping I would not have to explain it to you but the penis is to relieve waste and to procreate.........the anus primary reason is to export waste.......I guess there are other things which I won't go into to use it for but they are not the primary one...........

I bring it up when you start being hypocritical in your application. You don't want gays to talk about sex, but it is/was perfectly fine for you to brag amongst for fellow sailors about screwing somebody elses wife.

Perhaps you should heed your own advice and before you spew your hatred towards gays, examine your own shortcomings.

We do know, based on surveys about 50% of homosexuals engage in anal sex and about 40% of heterosexuals. Heterosexuals can't make "daisy chains" with anal, but I have witnessed dungeons with several people in a chain going ass to dick to mouth with a mixture of men and women. Hell, that was just in a rural area in Kentucky. :lol:

Let me put it another way. If you are single and just having sex with men in private, then nobody will know you are gay. If you are in a relatioinship with a man and doing all the things that people who are in a relationship do, then people will most likely know that you are gay. Staying out of long term relationships is the way that a lot of gay guys stay under the radar. In my state you can still be fired or kicked out of housing for being gay and it does happen. I have to consider whether or not being in a relationship is worth it, which is not something a heterosexual couple has to worry about.

I'm not the one who claims that the military should be able to dictate their own policy, so it doesn't really matter.

With that said, let's think about who probably has a better understanding of what a 20-year-old soldier thinks: Me (a 20-something civilian) or Navy Pride (a 500-year-old veteran). Not everyone in America is as homophobic as you oldtimers. And even if they were, that's THEIR problem if they won't serve with homosexuals.

I hate it when DADT threads turn into nothing more than a buncha Libbos shouting, "you-a-homophobe!", just because someone disagrees with the repeal of DADT.

What boggles my mind the most, is how they curse DADT, but fail to understand that DADT is the only law that actually allows gays to serve in the military. Without it, unit leaders would be authorized to poll the members of their units to see whose gay and whose straight; discharging the gay members, because the repeal of DADT doesn't lift the ban on gays serving in the military.

I think they're opening a big-ass can of worms and don't even realize it. I think that's the reason that the joint chiefs have been so quiet on the issue. When DADT is repealed, the JCS are going to clean house, then sit back and say, "hey! You wanted DADT repealed, well, you got what you asked for!".

Right, because NO ONE would lie!

They've been forced to hide and lie forever, that won't change when DADT is repealed. What WILL change eventually is the military's outdated, unjust, discriminatory rules.
