It was a friggin filibuster from the party of No....hardly a vote on the substantive issues involved.
Its been several weeks since the Vegas shooting. Its it still "Too Early" or can we start having the conversation about finally doing something about these mass shootings???

Re: 'Don't ask, don't tell' repeal in doubt

why would anyone focus his or her attention on any given member when the ISSUES we are discussing are so huge

that would make the target of all this attention even BIGGER than the grand debate

it's really weird, i never understand how members can ever go there

you know, the people who go on the jerry springer show actually believe they look good too

it's so demeaning to the poster who allows himself to get bogged down in personalities, by my view

my mom taught me this stuff, literally, by the time i was 12

it's all about dignity

focus on the debate, the issues, obama, the congress, the wingnuts and witches, the gays who got played along...

get over each other, try to be big

Those amendments should not even be on the defense bill........Its all politics prior to the November elections..........The dems know that they are meat after Nov that is why they are pushing it now.............

Since it is the new policy to let the troops decide things for themselves, I wonder what other things we can let them decide. Maybe whether or not we go to war. Maybe how long we are at war. Maybe whether or not the military can extend deployment. Since we are democratizing the military, there are just so many things the troops will have to ponder.

You are reading the vote count backwards. 56 voted FOR it, not against it.
Reality tends to have a liberal bias.

Navy had to know that there would be replies from people who don't agree with him on the issue. Not agreeing with someone isn't necessarily an attack.

BTW, there is a report button if you feel you are being attacked. It's really that simple.
