Christine O'Donnell: 'I Dabbled in Witchcraft'

In all seriousness this witchcraft thing shouldn't haunt her, it will but it shouldn't. Everybody has done something embarrassing or stupid at one point and Christine O'Donell is no exception. Her brief foray into witchcraft during her high school years really has nothing to do with this race. However, her comments about Mice having human brains is. Science has an ever increasing involvement in politics today and effects just about everybody. It concerns me that one can believe the Earth is 6,000 years old then is trusted to vote for the best on stem cell research and climate change.

How are her beliefs about creation any different than Obamas who has gone out of his way recently to prove his very fundamental Christian belief? I mean that sincerely...its not a baiting or trolling attempt. From an issues persepctive, how are one Christian fundamentalists beliefs different fromt he others? What does Obama believe? Or her opponent for that matter?

Well she is on record saying that she wants it taught in school.

I don't recall Obama being a retarded YEC. If he is, then he's even more disturbing than I thought he was.

Yeah? How long ago was this? Is it in her current platform? Or, is this another jog down memory lane back to the 90s or as far as it takes to dig up dirt? Heck, isn't there something that she did in Kindergarten that we could focus on, maybe fought over a toy or something?

It is on record for her. If she has a new position I don't know about it. Do you have any new information in regards to her position on this subject?

Nah, I don't live there, so I am trying to get up to speed with my candidates....I just think it is totally classless how the liberal media, and establishment crowd are attacking her.

Yeah it is appalling how people are bringing up what is on the record for her. That never happens to democratic candidates:roll:

So you are saying that Conservatives concerns about Obama's past and how he totally lied about it, are valid?

The rule in politics (or any public position, for that matter) is: If you're too delicate to run with the big dogs, you're in the wrong race.

Not saying it's right; it just IS.

See, and I was trying to be all non partisan and stuff there, see what you did?

Hey! Thats HARD WORK pointing out the repeated inane nature of some of this stuff. Come on...what is it now..5 threads on video clips form the 90s? thousands of posts? Of COURSE I added more mindless ****. I tried unsuccesfully in two previous threads to see if anyoen actually had ANYTHING about the actual election> hell...truth be told...I would be willing to bet most of the people posting comments didnt even know what her opponents name is and Ive YET to see anyone suggest what about HIM makes him a desirable candidate.

It's not necessary as she is way down on the polls.

Tea Party conservatives are the ones voting for this Whacky gal. They don't care what she did in the past. Charges for embezzlement have been charged against her and most Reps/cons are still defending her. They don't care what she has done, it's like with Palin. It doesn't matter that Palin abused her power - they will give her a pass.

However, if it happens to be a Dem with the same accusations, they will go beserk!
It is utter hypocrisy how quickly they are able to spin it so that it doesn't seem as bad when it is one of their own.

And that makes them different from liberals in what way?

Liberals don't try to pass themselves off as "family values" people, righteous, religious, compassionate, etc.

I know...not necessary at all...why bother with issues...

Tipper Gore did.

Was she a Rep? (Just kidding!) She probably is a very moral person. I'm not saying there aren't any Christians and moral people in the Democratic party - I'm saying the Democratic party platform doesn't try to push how religious the candidate are, doesn't use those values to identify its candidates.

Well she is on record saying that she wants it taught in school.

And Obama as a Christian believes WHAT about Creation? Since...you know...that IS what the question was? The position is that people cant fathom that she would believe that...Obama has of late sent his own people out to affirm his Christian faith...so...how is HIS any different than hers?

I don't recall Obama being a retarded YEC. If he is, then he's even more disturbing than I thought he was.

Certainly worthy of consideration...just imagine if he is as big of a loon as she is...

yeah, they just try to pass themselves off as holier than thou. hypocrite is a hypocrite no matter what their political leaning.

That is just your opinion, with no facts to prove it. Show me where a Democrat has tried to get elected on "virtues" - "family values" - "religion".

hyp·o·crite
[hip-uh-krit] Show IPA
–noun
1.a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2.a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

It is a fact that Republicans had "family values" as part of their platform.

Since 1980, the Republican Party has used the issue of family values to attract socially conservative voters. While family values remains a rather vague concept, social conservatives usually understand the term to include some combination of the following principles (also referenced in the 2004 Republican Party platform):
Promotion of "traditional marriage" and opposition to adultery
Support for a roll back of aspects of Feminism and support for a traditional role for women in the family.
Opposition to same-sex marriage
Support for traditional education and parental involvement in that education
Support for policies that encourage "adoption over abortion"
Support for behavior identified as traditional or moral such as respect, discipline, attentiveness, religious commitment
Support for "abstinence education" exclusively regarding risks associated with early sexual activity such as teen pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases while not teaching such topics of sex education as human sexual behavior, safe sex and birth control
Support for policies that are said to protect children from obscenity and exploitation

That is just your opinion, with no facts to prove it. Show me where a Democrat has tried to get elected on "virtues"

John Kerry the fake war hero comes to mind.
