You may be right, but I get the vibe that she had intercourse young and caught something that doesn't go away like Herpes. I think she's ashamed and rails against sexuality for this reason.
 
I still think she kicks puppies. please, what does any of this crap have to do with her viability as a candidate? It's not like she drunk drove someone off a bridge and drowned them.

Is she coyly suggesting she witnessed or engaged in blood sacrifice?
