Palin to make high-profile visit to Iowa

She quit her job because journalists were being mean to her. Quite the opposite of handling 'the heat'.

Did you need a sarcasm font there? Just making sure.

If she's as dumb as a post, I'd vote for her. How well has voting for smart people worked out? Not so good I'd say... the dumber, the less they do, the more vacations they go on... the less damage they do to this country.

Famous last words...

What has Palin ever accomplished?
The title Quitter Palin was earned by her and not a media tag. She will always be known as The Quitter.

Meanwhile . . .back at the ranch . . . Vice President Joe Biden graced us with his presence serving hot-dogs on the Colbert Report and peeves PETA off quite royally.

At least Palin's stickin to her venue.

I thought that was pretty cute, hotdogs notwithstanding.
The servicemen and women seemed to appreciate the joke.
I wonder if it was really a surprise (Biden) or if they knew about it beforehand.

Let's remember why she stays away from legitimate press. Those facts make her head hurt.

remember the time mrs alaska twittered something about "death panels" and almost within hours the entire party leadership cravenly caved?

LOL!

doesn't it remind you a bit of the funny little, crying dude in tennis shoes merely mentioning energy czar van jones, leading to another same day dismissal?

ya gotta admit, those wingnuts are wags

How about just that she is not an intelligent person at all? I mean, she is dumb.

When was the last time you ran for anything? Have ever been Governor of a state and then go on to run on a Presidential ticket? No?...I see

Half-term Governor. The job of running a welfare state was apparently over her head.

Convincing people to vote for you has nothing to do with mental intellect; rather a confident personality, opinions people agree with and a good PR campaign.

She spends the majority of her public speaking time bashing Obama and talking about sticking to conservative ideals and "restoring honor to America" without offering any clear cut plan of fixing this country, besides "don't do what the Dems are doing". That sounds like a definitive plan... :doh

With that said, the reason I didn't mention Sarah's intelligence in my "reasons why I wont vote Palin" is because if she were at all intelligent, she would have hit the books as soon as she lost the elections with McCain. She was humiliated during the campaign due in part to her lack of sophistication. So I honestly don't know if she's learned her lesson and smartened up. She certainly has smartened up about the U.S. constitution. But there's more in the world than just the U.S. and the constitution. I need feel confident that she knows about the rest of the world.

Still, I'd never vote for her any time soon for the reasons I listed earlier.

Yet McCain DID have a clear cut plan and approach - and still everyone tossed him aside.

It seems that a plan or a solid direction is NOT what the majority gives a damn about.

Do you really think the majority of Dems who jumped on the Obama wagon REALLY know anything about any of his policies? They were merely following his campaign rhetoric and were swept up in the hailstorm of 'the first black president' mania.

Sarah Palin was a half-term Governor due to being found guilty of an ethics violation. She abused the power of the Governor's office in going after her then BIL's job for the crime of being in the process of divorcing Palin's sister. She was found not guilty of a violation in firing the hatchetman who was tasked with trying to get Trooper Wooten fired during Palin's Troopergate malfeasance.

Before she was punished, she left. Her leaving was most likely negotiated.

No party nominee has ever quit while representing their party in the quest for the Presidency. What will we end up with if Sarah becomes the first to do so in 2012?

Regards from Rosie

Should she run, she's proven she can handle the heat, and she has scared the living crap out of the Journolists. Folks are fed up, and people believe what she and her candidates say... that's what scares the leftists. These folks are on a mission to take the country back, and they tell the electorate what they want to do... something Dems can't.

Look at the candidates she's backed! Folks the "experts" said didn't have a chance.

She's elevated her stature big time. I hope she runs.

.
Now, I cant say what would or would not have happened had there been more people voting, but it is VERY hard to judge what will or wont happen in upcoming general elections when all you have to go by is a primary election, in which only 55,000 votes were cast.
All this means is that the ones who came out to vote for the primary were mostly people as far right as Palin and her candidate du'jour.

Not many are disagreeing with that - though some will argue that "it's the way that violations are brought up against the mayor/governors/etc - " as an excuse.

I'm not excusing her, at least - but why do people still focus on her as if she's going to be a viable candidate in 2012?
There are other, bigger fish to fry.

I do agree that Mccain did have a plan, and while I did not agree with him idealogically on many issues, I still respected him. His mistake was Palin. He chose an unproperly vetted running mate, and it destroyed his chances at being president. Oh, she made a great name for herself, and is now making a veritable fortune off of it, but she was the reason he did not win the presidency.

I personally did not vote for him because I figured him to be four more years of the same.

That whole b.s. claim by her was debunked. Where were you?

Don't know about that, but Palin's lies and pure B.S. will catch up with her if she throws her hat... The woman lies about the stupidest things and them blames MSM for fact-checking.

UPI says different

Palin legal bills likely exceed $600,000 - UPI.com

ANCHORAGE, Alaska, June 22 (UPI) -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has likely racked up more than $600,000 in legal bills battling ethics complaints, the trustee for her legal defense fund says.

UPI says different

That story says they don't know how much was donated to her legal defense fund.

And the fact check story debunked the whole thing.

Accept it now, that she lies, and later on it won't come as surprise.

Some of the main reasons I wouldn't want Palin as president are:
- She wanted to work for Fox (not sure if that's still in the works)
- She quit her job as governor so she could be a cheerleader for Republicans and conservatives
- She is a far-right conservative

I simply don't trust she would listen to the non-conservatives of this country.

The Alaskan people elected her to represent them... She should have be returning the voters the favor-- represent Independents and Republicans, and her Dem supporters in Alaska, but instead she was making money by doing speeches and raising money for republican interests ONLY.. and outside of Alaska.

As an Independent, I would NEVER vote for!

She can't be trusted..

How about just that she is not an intelligent person at all? I mean, she is dumb. Between Clinton and Pelosi, she is the dumbest woman in politics. And now there's this new one in Delaware.

C'mon ladies. Things aren't looking too good right now.

This has nothing to do with women..

I don't really like Clinton's policies, but I think she is extremely intelligent.. I actually like the thought of Clinton vs Palin, just because Palin couldn't play the victim card as much then. Yes, I think both women dealt with sexism while campaigning, but Clinton hit the sexist back just as hard. Clinton deserves to be icon in women's history as far as I am concerned.

I don't think Palin seems very intelligent. She is not articulate AT ALL. Beyond the talking points she has no ideas or nothing to offer.

And Biden is just the smartest and most wise decision for Vice President?

Honestly - I don't know who's worse. I think I rate them both equally negative.

I'd hardly say McCain got tossed aside, with 45% of the votes.

But Palin is not acting like a leader right now... she's acting like a megaphone for the conservatives. In my opinion she has placed herself too far to the right to win an election. You need more than just the support from conservatives to become president. And she is lacking in strong bi-partisan support right now.

Things could change for her in the future, but I doubt she will have a chance to become president in 2012.

Please don't misunderstand me. . . .

I hate Palin.

Wrong...

1 Palin wasn't popular with the RINOs. She was immensely popular with conservatives.

2 McCain lost the conservatives because he was too close to the Democrats. The great successes have come when the Republicans have offered a clear distinction from the Democrats

Are you kidding? I would love her to run. She is far too ignorant to ever make a serious run at anything beyond governor of Alaska.
