it is amazing that the republicans would trade in mike castle for the crazy woman with a teabagger pedigree

Not sure how O'Donnell will fair.

But the Senate seat of that other executive branch victor (obama) has a better than even chance in Illinois of going to the GOP this November.

Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

remember, while no one is conceding delaware, we can take upstairs without the hens, quite feasibly

indeed, IF wisconsin elects ron johnson over russ feingold, who's running as an underdog, outsider, stressing his independence on health care (it didn't have a public option), the stimulus (it wasn't big enough), all the bailouts he voted for...

IF wisconsin sends mr johnson, the perfect picture of normal family man, refreshingly normal on tv, who ran one of the cutest ads i've seen...

big self funder, johnson, outspending russ 3 to 1 (4 to 1 counting outside sources, which we dominate, 13.9 million to 2.7---msnbc this morning)

IF we capture the cheeseheads, we have a better than 50-50 shot at replacing reid

the lay of electoral politics being what it is, that is

yes, it would probably require california AND washington (or west virginia, if not the pro wrestler in the demesne of mortgage fund managers)

and (here's the kicker) in the badger state primary last nite red turnout beat blues 2.64 to one

in florida three weeks ago, republicans outvoted dems 1.6 to one

    26% = long shot? 21% = "pretty much ensured"?

I doubt the Dems want to play that game.

    GOP's Odds in Delaware Aren't Hopeless - WSJ.com

In a race that has already featured plenty of mud-slinging over the candidates' past behavior, Republicans say they are likely to highlight an article that Mr. Coons wrote while in college titled "Chris Coons: The Bearded Marxist."

The article, written in 1985 when Mr. Coons was 21, describes how a semester in Kenya made him question his faith in the U.S. and the capitalist system and converted him from being a Republican to a Democrat.

It really is eerie. It also unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) will feed into issues re: Obama's background.
