Re: Dems thrilled as tea party win stuns Delaware GOP

There is no doubt that if Republicans and Conservatives played it safe and nominated the safe, more winnable candidate that they stand to gain more ground in Congress. But what does that give us? I tell you what it gives: The same ol' tired, corrupt incumbent or professional politician who will always be part of the problem and never the solution. It will hurt because the Democrats have no principle (See Charlie Rangel) other than winning and the playbook for them doesn't change much. No Party holds onto their corrupt politicians better than the Democrats. Democrat politicians will hold onto office until they slam the cell door shut. Their voters will rationalize until the end as to why their politican is a victim instead of a perpetrator.

And just look at the 30 Democrat incumbents who voted against the healthcare bill running this time who all won their primaries. They were threatened with all kinds of retaliation at the polls for that vote, yet they remain.

Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

And the savaging begins. Seems like a decent person. She has strong conservative views but she is not an idiot.

Am guessing the media and the left will be making this the showcase contest in the mid-terms and O'Donnell will be this year's pinata. (not unlike Palin was a couple of years ago)

But in all fairness, Rove got things started with his remarks last night. Not sure what that dumb **** was thinking.....

It's hard to imagine this nomination as a microcosm of the national elections. Maybe if it was somewhere else:

You're inadvertantly insulting buffoon's with that comment j-mac. However, what's missed here is typical politics... go to Washington and "play ball" no matter the letter after your name. Play ball means "grow the government". I think it's great that there's a movement that doesn't care about who get's the advantage, but rather it's about putting people in office who are fiscally responsible and at least are willing to run on a platform of upholding the constitution. If that hurts Republicans - it only does so because Republicans have "played ball" with Democrats too long.
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

See folks, teh process has begun. The only two females with -R at the end fo their name that AREN'T idiots, are Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe.

Does that not tell you something?

It's like watching Group Think in action on a National Scale, that's TRULY frightening.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.
