    1. Character
    2. Leadership

Reagan didn't draw everyone to the middle, he pulled the middle to him. But don't tell Dan that. He's trying to bring back "Reagan" by supporting republicans like Mike Castle.
    spot on

reagan won by INTIMIDATING THE HELL out of the opposition, the rhino's, the media...

and he did it with a SMILE, with VELVET

    he was an absolute MASTER

and it derived 100% from his CHARACTER, it was simply WHO HE WAS

which is why it was so easy for him to be so consistent

can you even IMAGINE the present presidential putz on pennsylvania ave pronouncing the prescription, "stay the course?"

the people loved dear ronnie, even the pols like him, he was the same in the oval office as he was in the residence, the same on tv, the same with his staff...

he was a GREAT MAN, he was RIGHT and he was able to COMMUNICATE it

There's a whole list of things others have been posting about Castle that I disagree with. Crap and Tax is just the worst one IMO.
And yea, bad enough that that one thing would lose him my vote.

If you want to know what Marxist is, ask Coons what his definition is. He's the one who is/was a proponent of it.

Do you realize that it was the Democratic nominee who labeled himself a Marxist?
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Am always open for getting educated. Can you provide your definition of what it (Marxism) means? And what you believe the mis-perception is from conservatives....??

For some here, being a Marxist is a natural evolution of accepting the proper political ideology, while having say... a religious belief is obviously the product of a diseased mind.

But I do think she may have some interest in running for president at some later date, or maybe start out with a Senate bid in 2014. She's still relatively young, so there's plenty of time for her.

It should be noted that she does not always support the Tea Party 100%... for example, in New Hampshire she backed Kelly Ayotte, who just barely won, over the more conservative Tea Party favorite in the race. IMO, this may have something to do with Ayotte being a woman... Palin has shown a strong bias towards female candidates recently.

Even if Palin does run in 2012, she's not stupid enough to run on a 3rd party Tea Party ticket. It won't happen.
She also supported McCain (yuk) over the Tea.
I agree with you, I don't think she is making plans for 2012. At least I hope not. I'd like to see her working in the same capacity she is now when 2012 rolls around. She's doing a great job for the country in my opinion.

There was no Tea Party candidate in that race. The Tea Party groups in Arizona refused to endorse Hayworth, and for good reasons. Hayworth was not a very good candidate; frankly, I probably would have voted for McCain if I lived in Arizona.

More importantly, though, McCain is the only reason why Palin is relevant... it'd be sort of dickish to stab him in the back after that.

But yeah, if she was planning to run for prez in 2012, she would have completed her term as governor, IMO.

right, now you're voting because someone has a "t" after their name, no matter their qualifications or history. in fact, you're voting for a woamn who couldn't pay off a 5k bill for 20 years. a woman who apparently can't get a job. but at least she's a virgin, right?
