This excerpt from the NYT article is proof enough of that....
I think you may want to ask yourself why you want to believe such.

They're being paid? I didn't know that. Where do I sign up? LOL.

Depends on how much I would be paid - I have better (at least, IMO) things to do than stand around, shout slogans, and wave signs.

If I don't have to do those three things, and am allowed to bring books, food, beverages, and perhaps a handheld gaming device, then sure.

Hmmm, you're right, there were some tea partiers who weren't paid to be there. They must be the ones with the homemade signs. Although I must say, some of them look pretty darn professional and uh, not very original....

So what exactly are they protesting? Obama's race? His birth certificate? His religion? What? Well according to Newt Gingrich now it's the ghost of Obama's father. So either American's have completely lost all sense of reality or there is something a lot more sinister behind the so called tea party movement. I'm guessing the later....

So you don't actually have a response to anything in my post and would prefer to just continue derailing with more off-topic blather. I see.

Who has a link to the New Left Media hilarity that probably ensued?
"I do not claim that every incident in the history of empire can be explained in directly economic terms. Economic interests are filtered through a political process, policies are implemented by a complex state apparatus, and the whole system generates its own momentum."

Hey I said you were right, they weren't all being paid. Other than that, I didn't really see you had a point to respond to. If I'm wrong then why don't you tell me again what it was?

Why pay them if they'll do the Koch's dirty work for free.....

Oh, looky there, Steve Forbes is on Freedom Works board of directors. What a cozy little group of wealthy elitists. Well, that certainly explains why D'Souza's recent attack article in Forbes Magazine and Newt Gingrich's extremist comments have the same narrative as those nasty extremist Koch Bircher propaganda signs at the tea party rallies, doesn't it?

Re: Tea Partiers Bring Cause to Washington

Wow, a sitting SCOTUS judge Clarence Thomas's wife, Ginny Thomas is a speaker for Freedom Works??? Clarence Thomas ruled in favor of "Citizens United", so now corporations can spend as much as they want to buy er uh influence our elections. What a small world....

    YouTube - Video 4 - Ginny Thomas - DallasTeaParty.Org

Is the Supreme Court corrupt? It sure does look like it when they rule in favor of corporations to spend as much as they want to influence elections and then one those judges has a wife that founded an organization that accepts huge sums from corporations to influence elections......

•Virginia Thomas is Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas' spouse.

•Virginia Thomas is on record as calling our current President a "tyrant" (see video at the top)

•Virginia Thomas is the President and Founder of Liberty Central, a conservative organization which lists FreedomWorks as a "friend of Liberty Central" and "Coalition Partner".

•At least two directors of Liberty Central have strong direct ties to Koch Industries.

•One director had direct input to the Bush administration with regard to the selection of John Roberts and his elevation to Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

•Liberty Central will directly benefit from the Citizens United ruling as a recipient (past, present or future) of undisclosed corporate donations.

•Justice Thomas supported the Citizens United decision.

Crooks and Liars Who are the two big donors to Liberty Central? Is the US Supreme Court Corrupt Beyond Repair?

Americans for Prosperity Foundation, Citizens United | Crooks and Liars

Did you say something about vomiting, Coronodo? Cuz I think I really could after seeing Clarence Thomas's wife, Ginny Thomas take corporate funding for her activist organization that is affiliated with Freedom Works and Citizens United.

The point was that you haven't raised any coherent criticisms and are merely throwing things at the wall and hoping they sticks. Your next post is a perfect example of this.

This was discussed ad nauseum 6 months ago when it first came out.

It's much ado about nothing. If you want to discuss that further, take it to that thread rather than clogging up this one.
