DOJ investigating at least 5 anti-Muslim acts

I think the outcome of the DOJ investigations will be very awakening. Hopefully, they will find that these were just acts were committed by people who are just asses. If it is because of the religion itself, I fear that as a country we have become too fearful over a religion and from that fear more actions like this will be committed. As I said earlier though I hope this is just a case of people being asses and not some sort of hate crime.
 
I think some Americans are just feed up with the woe is me attitude comming from folks like CAIR (the unindited co-conspirator of the holyland foundation whose members were convicted for funneling money to HAMAS and are now serving time). We are fed up with all the whinning. I dont think that there is anymore violence directed at muslims than any other group in America.

Excuse me TED, most Americans perception of muslims is derived from what they get from the media. And to be honest with you most of it is negative.
 
I suggest people do some reading, start with the Islamic holy text. This will give them a better idea just how evil Islam is.
 
Then I recommend reading two books by author Robert Spencer "The Truth About Muhammad" and "Stealth Jihad" both excelent books that will help people to understand the enemy and his tactics as well as what makes him tic.

If that is the case, why are we helping Iraqi's to set up a democracy? Aren't they also practicers of Islam? There seems to be a disconnect. Shouldn't we be bombing them instead of helping them?

Most conservatives on this thread have exhibited disgust and a non-caring attitude about any Muslim being victim of a hate-crime. Okay, that is your right, but what I don't understand is that most conservatives while sharing their disgust and animosity toward Muslims, will at the same time defend Bush for his invasion of Iraq and don't seem to mind the billions of dollars being spent on that war. Yet these same conservatives sure whine about money spent on our own Americans.

Something doesn't make sense here.

Im just good at dancing on the line without stepping over it. I almost got wacked once, and maybe I should have been banned. I really am just trying to tell the truth as I see it. Its my opinion and I have a right to it even though you may be offended by it. Like they say there is nothing in the constitution that says you have a right not to be offended.....:rock out
 
That's a great line, except that the rules make it abundantly clear that the Constitution doesn't apply here like it does on the street.

Predjudices don't start randomly. You will never see Norwegians accused of being terrorists, asians of being ignorant or lazy, blacks of being clumsy, etc.. Those characteristics are never associated with those groups, so any event of the sort is seen as an isolated incident.

You will see stereotypes of arabs/muslims being lunatic fringe extremists. Thats because where there's smoke, there's fire. They are the one flying jets into buildings, they are the ones beheading people on TV, they are the one sending children with bomb vests onto Israeli busses, etc.... For the last 25 years (and longer) we have been confronted continously with the image of arabs and muslims acting savagely towards others. Its not an opinion, its a fact. They have created this image for themselves, and have allowed it to happen. I and many others have no trouble with them now dealing with the backlash.
 
Yeah, and I guess those damn niggers that have mugged, beaten, raped and murdered good decent white folk are the smoke that the white supremacists point to, right?

There is no smoke without fire. They are the ones who are killing innocent Muslim children and Mothers in the streets of Iraq and Palestine, Afghanistan, they invade Muslim territory and kill us with abandon. For decades Muslims have fought back against said oppression and invasion of our lands, watching helpless whilst our people suffer observing puppet Governments and royals being forced to over rule us with the help of the West. Being given weapons to suppress us which include gas which has killed tens of thousands, set up torture camps to humiliate our brothers and sisters. Hearing about their soldiers raping and killing our women. They have created this image for themselves and have elected those who have enabled it to continue. I and many others have no trouble with them now dealing with the backlash.

Oh please. The most you've read of the Qur'an is out of context quotes from some moronic site that only appeals to your own bias. If you've actually read the entire Qur'an (something sensible people would do if they were actually trying to get a better understanding of something foreign), you would know that there only a handful of verses related to physical violence. And even after reading it all, you would know none of that physical violence can be aggressive or excessive. Self-defense and proportionality.

But then again, you don't know, because you've never read the entire thing.
