So to protest intolerance, you suggest displaying intolerance as the best route?

The Pastor (who happens to be a real idiot [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_i0J7LH0CA]), said he prayed before making his mind on going through with this ridiculous event. I wonder if he thought of Luke 31:

Do to others as you would have them do to you.

    Obviously not.
Some thought should have been given to that passage, regarding the Ground Zero mosque. When people go out of their way to offend Americans, you have to expect this kind of idiocy in return.

Aren't you a supporter of building the GZ mosque?

and plus, do u even know the meaning of Jihad. Jihad refers to "struggle" and an internal one for the first part..

coping with hunger, poverty etc are also forms of jihad...
So when Saddam Hussein had his Islamic leaders called for Muslims everywhere to join his jihad to defeat the "wicked Americans" should they attack Iraq, and then threatened threatened jihad against the United States himself, he was only referring to an internal struggle?

    It didn't sound like it.

In the modern era, it probably began with the killing of the Jewish athletes at the Munich Olympics. That was followed by hijackings, kidnappings, the murder of many thousands of innocent people all over the world right up to the killing of four more innocent people by Islamic Jihadists yesterday in Nigeria.

    How absurdly arbitrary.

Then why are you defending it? This Pastor is going out of his way to offend some people and display his intolerance. Some of us pointed at his idiocy.

It's barely a mosque in my honest opinion. I've seen at least a few hundred different mosques in my life, and the debate over this is just laughable. It's mainly an Islamic center that will also happen to have a mosque inside. It'll be similar to this center that Hakeem Olajuwon made from an old bank:

I think that it is great that we can prove to the Muslim world that we have stupid, hateful, religious zealots in the US just like they have.

To the 'minister' in Florida, I would say, "if your god teaches hatred, your god sucks."

Interesting. So, you're in favour of the Koran burning, but not of the Mosque building, right? How does that work?

    American dream / democracy:

-do not let muslims practice their religion,

-do not let muslims build a mosque anywhere they want,

    -do let people insult Qur'an,

-do let people see muslims as 'terrorists',

-do support people to be more respectful others' religion but Islam,

-do kill people in their own country by mistake,

    or

    - be respectful others and others' religion,

which one is the real American dream / democracy ?
