Discovery Channel gunman mad over global warming

What the hell are you smoking, there's only one mention of the tea party in this thread, and it's this one.

and that's not even related to what you said.

This entire thread is about the Tea Party. Some people just didn't pick up the subtext.

EDIT: You might want to remove your thanks if you didn't think I was being serious, because I was.

Don't worry, the point of my post is perfectly plain to the people I was posting it for. If the people wearing the blinders can't see it's application, it's because they're not seeing correctly.

Well I am due to the optomertrists soon, so can you please explain it to me?

No. Since my use of the vision imagery was metaphorical, as was my earlier post you responded to, I don't see that it would be effective for me to draw a bigger picture.

I think the point is to expose hypocrisy, not blame Gore. The media and many liberal commentators blame violence on Rush, Palin, and Beck. They have no evidence of this, but they claim that their message incites people to violence. Here you have a violent eco-terrorist who says he was influenced by Al Gore's film. Should the media be consistent, especially given proof, and say Gore incites violence with his movie/message? If it's foolish to blame Gore (which it is), it's equally foolish (if not more so) to attribute violence or say many right wing commentators encourage violence.

I'm surprised some people still didn't catch on after this post was on the first page.

Oh, so it's partisan politics, gotcha now, silly of me to think this was about people being shot.

There is a reason for this. It';s because no one really gives that fringe much credence. And yet, again, simple minds have to try and connect the fringe with the mainstream.

The reason some don't get the point of this thread, is they know if the roles were reversed they WOULD blame Al Gore.
Since we are not blaming AL Gore, but pretending to, they are just lost and confused.

By the way, I couldn't find anything about the left blaming the right for the IRS nut job.
I know Maddow started out speculating about what the motive could be. However as soon as the suicide letter came out apparantly all that stopped. The man hated republicans as much as he did dems. He hated the IRS. He was just a nut who burned down his house before he flew into the building. However you can bet, that if he could've been tied in anyway to the tea party at that time, he would have been.

Anyone who would say that he represents all the TEA Party are as retarded as the people who try to link all muslims to terror, as retarded as the people who try to say Al Gore told this guy to do what he did...

Still beffudles me how he'd target a place that as far as I know, supports his own POV...

There's a word for that.

Derp...

So again, because a few nuts would do something, the nuts on the other side should do the same thing? That is not a real good excuse for acting stupid.

It's a good thing I'm not allergic to nuts.

They have slowed down since 9/11 but I'd still call them very dangerous. They have caused millions and millions, probably billions of dollars worth of damage to "save the planet" from the evils of man. Just like this man wanted to do, except he was intentionally threatening human lives.

None of which has anything to do with what I said.

I thought you were talking about eco-terrorists when you said they were fringe and no one gives them much credence. Guess I was wrong for the first time ever.

No, sorry. I meant people who blame things like this gunman on others.

I think what some are looking for is equal stupidity from the media.

Which fringe? The Eco-Nut fringe or the anti-government wacko fringe or the right-wing fringe or the anti-war fringe? Are you talking about all fringe groups are just this one? If the latter nice try to excusing your own political bias.
