Vigil Draws 150 in Support of Tennessee Mosque

The greatest generation knew exactly what they were doing when they placed Japanese Americans in internment camps. We have lost our collective kahones. We are spinless and our enemies know this. They are laughing at us because we are so weak.

They are laughing at YOU, because YOU believe racism is appropriate.

Someone cite where Sharia law is legal in the US. Is it not the other way around? Are not many wanting to impose bigoted Islamophobic laws on Muslims and their places of worship?

Do you any proof that "Sharia is creeping into our legal system"?

One word answer CAIR. CAIR is the unindicted co conspirator to the holyland foundation whos members are in prison now for contributing to a terrorist organization. CAIR's lawers are working hard to slowly infect our legal system with sharia poison.

Well I am glad my generation is different from this "greatest generation". I would be ashamed of my generation if we ever did anything like internment camps.

Dearborn Michigan.

Dearborn Michigan.

What happened there? And is it not wrong, nor far more prevalent, for states and people to want to impose Islamophobic laws against Muslims and mosques. It's like fighting a fear of oppression via sharia law through fear mongering and oppressing a group of people who are not imposing anything.

They had what it took. They had spines and kahones of steel. We no longer have what it takes. We have become weak. Like I said our enemies laugh at us.

I agree. Let's put them all behind walls, and when we have rounded them all up, we can then bring out the ovens. Just think, the ovens running night and day, belching smoke to the heavens, and us singing praises to Jesus Christ. What a wonderful and glorious day that would be.

Sheesh.

Islamophobic laws? What is Islamophobic. This word is not even in the dictionary. Are there christianophobes or hinduophobes? I think not. People hate on christians here in America constantly. Does the media call it Christianophobia? Islam deserves the critizisim it gets. Its a freakin evil death cult. People are critical of the satanic cults. So they should be critical of satanic Islam and its followers.

I don't hate on Christians, as I happen to be Christian. I do hate on the ideas of treating another group of people as sub human, and deserving of imprisonment and possibly execution because of who they are. I have seen it.

racism? So now Islam is a race? give me a freekin break.

You are right, since most people who practice Islam are of the Semitic race, the same race as the Jews. Therefore, I will call you anti semitic.

Islam is becoming a problem in the US. Sharia is creeping into our legal system. Its only a matter of time. As the muslim population increases do to birth rate and immigration so will sharia and all the evil it brings. As long as Americans bury thier heads in the sand they will continue to use our freedoms against us.

Oh I'm not going to fight you on what the enemy is. I am very well aware of the enemy. I helped put together a PowerPoint for the Marine Corps a few years back to assist in understanding the enemy (I happen to have certain duties outside of my MOS).....

* The official Saudi newspaper, Ain Al-Yaqeen, described royal expenditures on "education" as "astronomical" (Mar 2002). They celebrated the funding to build 1500 mosques, 202 colleges, and 2000 Muslim schools.

The joke of this is that these were established throughout non-Islamic countries in Europe, North and South America, Australia, and Asia. None were in the Middle East, which was not presented in Middle Eastern mainstream news. And the fact of the matter is that most since 2002 have been outside of the MENA region as well. It's not so much about Shar'ia as it is about Sunni tribe and Saud allegiance. With this being said......

In the end, it is our culture that delivers us from harm. Our immigration rules, our programs, and our religious tolerance is what sets us apart from the rest of the world, especially the ME. People who have opportunity and the opportunity to produce actual productive lives to be proud of do not throw their lives away. They generally do not throw the prospect of prosperity and opportunity for their children away for some damned religious ideal that surrenders them to oppression and brutality. Unbeknownst to most people, an Iranian Muslim named Vali Nasr helped us turn Iraq around in 2006. Our beliefs in democracy and expressive freedom make the vast majority of all Muslims our natural allies. Iraq will work in the end, because the individual want for freedom and opportunity will trump tribal allegiance. History is a hell of a teacher. Shari'a (KKK, Nazi, etc.) is a radical's goal, not the dream of the vast majority. Our Muslims are absolutely a part of the vast majority.

It pretty much comes down to this.....have faith in America. Most Muslims do.

And we are better people for not acting like them too.

Islamophobia is the irrational fear and hatred towards Muslims and Islamic things. It's not in the dictionary, but many use the word as it is new. There are Christianophobes and Hinduophobes. The media doesn't acknowledge Christians being hated on and attacked. They'd rather paint Christians as doing the attacking. I'm a Christian, and I have been judged, discriminated against, and disrespected for my faith and views. This is why I sympathize with Muslims who are going through similar things. Islam is not above criticism, nothing is. But criticism goes to far when it is turned into an action bent on removing the rights of others. You have the right to believe it's an evil death cult. But they still have freedom of religion.

Mmmmmm...you can't just dismiss such things as impossible. These are goals of radical Islam and it is quite bigger than Bin Laden and whoever else is placed in front of us as the enemy. Europe is dealing with such matters quite bitterly as we type.

I am a Jew. So I hate myself Dan?

You applauded the internment of Japanese Americans. You literally posted that you believe racism is appropriate.

Are you actually a Chrisitian or like me? One who has been raised Chrisitian, but evolved into the "back slider" who is not confined to generic traditional thought?

Our own Constitution will not allow for one religions' jurisprudence to become federal law. It is impossible for Sharia law to take over federal law.

God bless you, and thank you for saying this. I probably should not be posting on issues like this right now, but I feel very strong about them. Right now, my feelings are running particularly strong. The brother of my former boss and good friend last week was sentenced to 20 years in an Iranian prison for practicing his religion. He is going to die there, as he is 65 years old. Do I blame Islam? No, I blame the Mullahs. The lawyer for him and the other six who were sentenced was Shirin Ebadi, who has many times in the past literally put her life on the line to advocate against the injustices being perpetrated by the current Iranian leadership. She even won a Nobel Peace prize for her effort. Now comes the punch line - She is Muslim.

And, as I reflect upon the injustices being perpetrated over there, I bring my thoughts back home, to where American Mullahs are preaching the same intolerance for others, and if in power, would install the same kind of theocratic dictatorship we see in Iran. What is stopping them? First of all, the majority of the American people, who are no more bigoted than the vast majority of Muslims who live in peace, here in America. And, second of all, we have a document that transends time, and stands up for the rights of ALL Americans, no matter what color, what religion, and what background. I am talking about the Constitution of the United States of America.

God bless America, and God bless our Constitution, a document like no other before it, nor will there ever be another like it. It is America's most precious resource, and it is what defines us as a people. God bless it.

This isn't sharia law but something we can all look forward to. A bunch of lawsuits for those who don't want to assimilate but want more privilages than anyone else because of their religion. Yes, Cair attorneys are involved.

Well, dropping atomic bombs on civilian cities is also a defintion for the "greastest generation" so you are correct in wanting something better.

BUT, SgtRock has a point. We (the military and intel world) knows what the enemy is, but our governments constantly choose to err on the side of political correctness and media suggestiveness. Everytime you hear from CNN or FOX or whatever media source that some civilians were killed the military receives pressure from the politicians to re-define tactics. Such things were not a problem for the fighters of WWII who were able to bring absolute victory to the American people. How many times have our ROEs been addressed in the public living room spotlight since 9/11? In the mean time, the practitioners of war are constantly retrained and prohibited from winning year after year in order to satisfy a political agenda of short term appearance.

Like you I am a soldier. I used to believe as you do. I had faith in my country. But my country is changing, politically and socially. Our universities poison the minds of our youth. We are declining just as all great civilizations before us. And I do not agree that most muslims have faith in America. I do not trust them. Thier Qu'ran tells them to lie to the kuffar. Once they have established sufficient numbers Islamic law will rule this nation. Even if it takes a thousand years.
