Armed Man With Bomb Takes at Least One Hostage in Discovery Channel Building

I bet the folks on DP are gonna label this guy a liberal.

This wacko, just like all others, have nothing to do with politics in my opinion. A crazy bastard is a crazy bastard, and their actions don't represent either side of the political spectrum.

LOL MSNBC already siding with him.
He's has a message to convey.
He's just trying to get people to listen.
He has concerns.
on and on

To be honest many of his stances are liberal, but this guy is a liberal extremist. I don't lump him together with normal liberals because this guy is an extremist liberal terrorist

Yeah we call people like him a nut because that is honestly all he is.

Well thats good. I don't see where guns and terrorism fit into liberal ideology... but then again theres that intellectual vortex of fascism and communism and other considerations. When you start adding other things to the ideology alot of labels stop applying and new ones take its place.

LOL is right. Considering Al Gore's "An Incovenient Truth" was just one influence on Lee.

True, to be honest I think he is more of a crazy environmentalist. Most liberals I know are pacifists and would never dream of doing something like this. I think he's a brainwashed nut case and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I retract my past statement, there really is no proper label for this guy outside of him being an eco-terrorist.

Since this guy is an environmentalist, he will be portrayed as an apolitical wacko by the main stream media... If he wasn't, the media would be tying him to Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the Tea Party.

Every MSM article I've seen has clearly stated that his reasons for doing this are his environmental views. None of them call him a terrorist, though.

A much better lable I have to agree. If this guy isn't an extremist I dont know what is

Once you add violent revolution into the mix you're dealing with someone that has passed a threshold in their head. If his ideas had any traction they would work and grow in a political market for themselves. But its pretty easy to think everyone is crazy. I do it sometimes.

Holy crap, I think the Earth just cracked open

We actually agree on something

Thats because he is :D

Honestly it sounds like the guy has true stability problems and just found an outlet where his nut-baggery would be mistaken for passion and not psychosis.

I agree, inconvenient truth put this guy over the edge just like Waco put Tim VcVeigh over the edge.

They are just both nuts.
Neither has to do with being left or right.

Yeah what the hell is up with that. How is Discovery going to dismantle the U.S. economy...

I don't know the New York Times did a pretty good job is getting Obama elected... Seriously this guys a nut, I hope the hostage(s) get out ok.

If you are going to blame anyone for President Obama blame Starbucks. Free coffee to coffee addicted college students that went out and voted...

Actually, I've been paying attention to these groups for years as a result of the work I've done. My former city was a major hotbed for environmentalist/animal rights terror attacks in the 90s.

Back in the day, one of the major spokespeople for the movement was Craig Rosebraugh, who broadened his message after 2003, and started urging armed revolution against soft government targets, the media, and military bases.

He's one of the founders of Arissa Media: Arissa Media Group

That segment of the environmental movement has always advocated targeted attacks in support of animal rights and environmental issues, and split with Earth First back in the 1990s over the issue of bombings and violence.

Sounds like this guy is cut from the same loony cloth.

I have a buddy who just left his job at Discovery last Friday. Talk about good timing.

Geeze ,they are blaming Sarah Palin by saying there is no connection they can find between protests about sarah and this guy!!! MSNBC you are full of it.

Instead of talking about this man and his past protests at Discovery they started talking about those past protests involving Sarah Palin. Of course, they were careful to point out they could find no conection between Sarah and this stand-off.

What does Sarah Palin have to do with this story? I'm waiting until they try to tie Glenn Beck into it. Geez..

I'm watching MSNBC right now, and haven't heard any of this?

Standoff over, he's in custody as of the 4pm ABC newsbreak. He was shot in a takedown, they should've shot to kill IMO.

Not what law enforcement is for. If you want an assassination squad, go to a third world country.

Actually, there is a sharpshooter protocol for shoot to kill when a situation is expected to be extreme, this one was. Nice try though.
