Beck, Palin Stress 'Honor' at Rally

Most of the comments from you I see on this forum are one or two lines of text. Do you ever say anything important?

Nah, that's not fair...FFG is a pretty thoughtful poster...I disagree with him, almost to the very fiber of my being, but he can not be accused of a one liner that's for sure.

Oh please....5X as many people gather every year for Gay Pride in Los Angeles and there isn't any riots or anything either....what exactly are you celebrating?

5x 300,000? Produce those numbers. The highest I found was 400k

Nothing like a little exaggeration and fabrication to start out a monday LOL

Hehe. No worries, didn't want to misplace my criticism of BDBoop .. I also find FFG to be a competant, and reasonable person. Except that whole Glenn beck is the devil routine.. LOL J/K FFG. :)

Oh, Joe doesn't know who liberals are, but has "Liberal" as his affiliation? LOL....good one....BTW, don't go down that disingenuous path of knowing misrepresentation Boop, you are better than that I hope.

j-mac

Think for a second. I know how I lean. That ahrdly means I know all liberals. Or that I know what the entire group is. You tend to speak like we all work in unison. You sterotype and get much wrong when you do. So, slow down and think it through.

Ha! Tim, I don't believe I've ever called him the devil. If I used those exact words, I was probably having a cocktail and refuse to accept responsibility if I mix vodka with politics instead of tonic! :) God knows, I'm am no fan of him, though.

Boo.. You seem reasonable, however, please don't insult my intelligence. I've never in my life seen such a division in the American people. It's not just about Obama winning, it's not about any fear mongering, it is real. The people are more divided now than in any other time in our contemporary history. They are mad as hell at Washington, the deals, the pork, the none sense, and they are mad at both democrats and republicans. We're sick of the backroom reach arounds, and the mocking of the American people. We're sick of unfettered entitlement spending, greasing the pockets, pandering.. Hell you name it pal. I can't think of one thing I like about our Federal government, not one!

Tim-

I don't know if that is true. There were many awfully mad during Bush's term. But what I find is important is that emotional responses, not based on fact, don't mmake your claims true. it is possible people are mad becasue they believe things to be true that simply aren't. With all the misinformation put out, and all those Beck watchers getting it complately wrong, we can't gage fact based on anger. Many are actually angery because they got exactly what they wanted.

The factual point is, we are not near being run only from a central government. There are still separations, with little change from where we've been. Being angery about something that isn't happening doesn't change that. Perhpas if the fear mongering died down, and serious and honest discussion took place in the public forum, we might actually find we're not as divided as it seems.

You wouldn't understand.

Obama has been sworn in as US president for four years....

Unfortunately there's not much you (all who oppose) can do about it right now.

Hehe.. No I don't think you have, that was my take on your take. :)

Run isn't exactly the word I would use, or not what i meant. I would rather use the words "held hostage", or "extort" the powers from the states and local governments by various means? Do you need examples? Seriously? How about education, energy, drugs, health, police, and public service, waste, environment.. The list is lengthy..

Let's take education for example. All states have to do is trun down the money, right? Should states expect the money without any strings?

If it were the case, then I'd agree with you. But surely, you must agree that politicians are rarely thought of as honest people? See my sig, line two.

Also, we have a large divide in just exactly what kind of political environment most of us feel is ideal. Right now, and for some time now, politics has been about securing the most votes. How they go about it, is dishonorable. A large part of this is the people themselves. What Apsts said about the black "culture" in this nation is exactly right. Factor in the Jews, the Catholics, the Latino's, the Asians, and all of us seem to disregard what's best for everyone instead looking out for number one.

It's "precisely" why local governments should be the larger of the representaive structure. Without local authortative representation, large democracies, or democratic republics will fail. It's inevitable.

Tim-

sorry, tim, i think the whole rally was pap. nothing more.

So, according to you blacks can't think for themselves?

It is quite amazing a man can claim to deliver 10 million votes from a voting bloc that once swayed Republican.
What is more amazing is he did it.
Even more incredible is the myth fed to the and believed about R's and their record.
Especially considering four decades later Dems have led them down the road of squalor.
7 trillion pissed away on the war on poverty, and where are we?

Hopefully this series of misdeeds will be broken, but let's face it... it's institutionalized.

Ok here is my full answer on what to do instead of the Patriot Act

1. Put Airports in charge of their own security. This will allow the free market to decide which Airports are safer for people to travel since then they can implement their own polices. Security will be done by actual people who have experience in said field, not just another government clod collecting a tax payer check.

1a. Apply this principal to our non-military sea ports as well

2. Repeal all laws that ban fire arms in airplanes and that dont allow pilots to be armed. (repeal all federal firearm bans for that matter)

3. Dismantle DHS and allow the departments it absorbed to return to their pre March 2003 status. The dismantling will then encourage states to come up with their own budgets and plans to handle natural disasters.

4. Create probationary periods for immigrants that come from countries that are considered state terror sponsors IE The one strike and your out rule (after it has been proven in court). Or dont allow immigration from those countries all together.

5. Follow the Constitution, its there for a reason.

Ok, and thanks for coming back to respond, I appreciate it.

Wouldn't this be more of a pre 9/11 approach? I think that we should drop all the PC crap and become more like Israel in our approach to Airport security.

2. Repeal all laws that ban fire arms in airplanes and that dont allow pilots to be armed. (repeal all federal firearm bans for that matter)

Pilots yes, passengers no.

3. Dismantle DHS and allow the departments it absorbed to return to their pre March 2003 status. The dismantling will then encourage states to come up with their own budgets and plans to handle natural disasters.

States are going bankrupt, thanks to current administration actions. How does a state manage a budget for security when it is broke?

4. Create probationary periods for immigrants that come from countries that are considered state terror sponsors IE The one strike and your out rule (after it has been proven in court). Or dont allow immigration from those countries all together.

Yep, then they can join in more numbers those just walking across from Mexico.

5. Follow the Constitution, its there for a reason.

Agreed follow the Constitution, and those rights are there for American citizens.

I say the whole Rally was a great event and I loved watching on Monday's TV show as Glenn Beck took his detractors apart one by one.

Take this Rally, along with the 9-12 Rally and I think the LEFTIES have nothing left to do but continue to lie, call names, and obfuscate when ever they are forced to answer io the truth.

We can defeat the Obama's, Socialists/Marxists, Anti-Constitutionalists and their supporters by sticking to the truth and the facts because they can't deal with either honestly and it shows them for what they are.

Obama claiming he payed no attention to 3 to 5 hundred thousand true Americans, was just another one of his lies.

Oh, he paid attention alright. I heard it caused him to slice his drive on 14 and three-putt on 15.
