It happens on both sides of the isle, every stinking day.

What, you've never heard of earmarks, or campaign contributions, or the corporate fronts used to launder otherwise illegal campaign donations?
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

There was plenty of investigate if we go by the rule of thumb the Republicans seem to set down for these future "investigations".. Everything from Cheney and Haliburton to cherrypicking intelligence to justify the Iraq war, over to massive fraud in the occupation and so on and so on. Add to that, Ensign, and all the other corrupt Republicans past and present and well .. plenty to do.

2006: "If the Dems get elected, they'll drain the swamp of DC and put an end to the Republican culture of corruption. That's why they should win!"

2010: "If the Republicans get elected, they'll just start frivolous investigations and try to muck up the important work of government with their partisan probes. That's why they shouldn't win!"

Yep, Democrats definitely wasted all that time and effort with investigations into the Bush administration!

I don't see how the Dems' failure to follow through helps your point.

I wish both sides really WERE on an isle and that isle would start sinking...

Yeah, if this is their focus for the next 2 years if they get elected they can fully expect that all the ferver and support they are garnering now will vanish. People want them in and actually following through with conservative philosophy in policies, not playing like congress is Salem and they're out searching for witches.

Perhaps, but are you saying there are no inquiries that would be justified? Not one?
“I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.” - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
