Protesters rally against, for planned Islamic center in New York

Can you imagine how this would be all over the news if those being threatened were

Nancy Pelosi not Dick Army
Olbermann, Ed Shultz not Rush and Hannity
MSNBC and not Fox
Moveon.org and not Freedom Works

So, conservatives are picked on? Would this be considered whining?

To all terrorists worldwide...regardless of race, religion or creed...

LOL. I wrote a song a few years ago that got quite a few laughs every time we played it.

Taliban Mailman
(Sung to the tune of "Let Me Be Your Mailman" by George Strait")

Let me be a mailman down in Afghanistan
Bringing special packages to all the Taliban
You like to play with airplanes, well that's not very nice
You've been messin' with my country, now it's time to pay the price

Like the wild wild west and the pony express, I'm gonna bring you down
Your women will be wailin' when I roll into town
Like a man possessed, I come fully dressed to burn and slash and bash
I'm ready to go postal, and I'm gonna kick your ass.

Hey Mr. bin Laden this one says it's from your mom
But what it doesn't say is that it holds an atom bomb
I'll be out of your country, 'fore the fallout falls on me
And I'll leave you the middle finger from the Statue of Liberty

Like the wild wild west and the pony express, I'm gonna bring you down
Your women will be wailin' but I won't wear a frown
Like a man possessed, I come fully dressed to burn and slash and bash
I'm ready to go postal, and Allah won't save your ass.

Like the wild wild west and the pony express, I'm gonna bring you down
Your women will be wailin' but I won't wear a frown
Like a man possessed, I come fully dressed to burn and slash and bash
I'm ready to go postal, and I'm gonna kick your ass.
Allah won't save your ass.
I'm gonna kick your ass.

And Beck to this day still says that the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful, moderate muslims. however, (my words now) in this day and age of caliphate by radicals across the globe aimed at western culture, and anyone who does not submit, and convert, lying is but one of their tools. Problem is that liberals are so inclined to make friends that they totally ignore that, and further, when a site like MM is your backing for your thoughts, there are more problems to your argument than just a lack of critical thinking skills, it goes to dishonesty as well.

IMHO.

My wife found a pretty interesting graphic, which looks like the perfect counter to your post.

MM is the main counter to Glenn Beck. Where else would I find the truth about Glenn Beck? Duh. See, the problem with conservatives, is they can't argue the issues because of their own failed policies, so they resort to fallacious arguments like red herrings, strawmans, ad hominmems, etc. as an attempt to distract and cover up their ignorance and hypocricy. And yes, it is very dishonest.

You might want to get your wife to check her figures. 18 million Muslims in America is a gross overstatement

Estimates of Muslim population in the US range from less than three million to nine million.

Muslims in America: Profile: Muslim American Demographics and facts.

Country Total Population in 2008 304.5 Muslim Percentage 2.1% Muslim Population in 2008 6.42

Muslim Population

Did you even bother to verify that number at all?

I'm surprised a conservative like yourself would blindly accept a far left blog's graphic without doing the slightest bit of research on it before accepting their findings :lamo

Again, say what you have to say to save face, but you have it backwards. Japan is the attacking group. AlQaeda is the attacking group. You seek members of those groups and not what larger groups those two might be related to. it would like saying japan is part of Asia, so all asia attacked us.

But we aren't attacking them, we just don't want their mosque built so close to ground zero. The mosque is a reminder of Islam, and AlQaeda attacked us because of their disjointed application of Islamic law. It's too close for comfort. Plus we aren't quite sure of the Iman's motives.

Everybody gets it. We want them to be sensitive to our feelings because many NY'ers are still living with the pain daily. If they don't want to make this exception, then I'd say they really aren't with us as comrades.

Just a comment here - there seems to be this black and white view of muslims. Either they're fringe terrorists or they're moderate & peaceful. I don't think anything is that black and white in this world. There are shades of grey here. Yes some small pockets of moderate American muslims are coming out and speaking out disagreeing with the placement of the Islamic Center / Mosque. Where are the rest?
Where are the rest? Hmmm, I guess they must be hiding in the shades of grey you mentioned for fear of getting stabbed by a deranged American or lynched by a mob who have been influenced by the ginned up right wing rhetoric against Muslims. No doubt, "good Muslims" see what happens when they speak out. They still get accused of being terrorists.

And when the progressive liberal left start degrading those who don't agree with them and start throwing around vitriolic propaganda like "Islamaphobic" and "un-American"... we have to realize these are the same progressive liberals who want God stricken from every public building, off our money, and manger scenes taken down each and every Christmas. I just can't bring myself to give them much credibility on such an issue as this.
LOL You didn't give yourself very much credibilty either when you recognized there is black and white thinking about Muslims (good Muslim, bad muslim) and then labeled and blamed an entire demographic of people as "Progressive, liberal, liberal" for the actions of a few. "Progressive, liberal, left." Phew, that label sure says it all, doesn't it? Apparently, labels must help you think in black and white or you probably wouldn't be able to think at all.

So tell me, since you only understand labels, where are the moderate conservatives and why aren't they speaking out against this blatant attack on the first amendment? Do they even exist or have they have all been purged from the Republican party?

You don't have to like it but it is their right to do so.
Unless ofc, you have access to CIA files which shows the Imam is linked with terrorists and the centre is going to be a base for terrorist activity.

In which case, show 'em.

The fail in that statement. Lol. Just lol

I don't like it, and it's not funny. I do hope they find something really juicy on the Imam, since he did say we were partially responsible for 9/11. He's not a really nice man to have said that. Sometimes you need to shut up, but obviously he couldn't. They had that little hole in the wall place, and now they're gonna have this big expensive building. Shame on them. And shame on us if we let this happen if we can stop it. I say, don't let them get over on us. No way! No shenanigans!

Sure Americans can stop it being built.

Burn your constitution and it can happen.

FALSE -- that's not what he said, get better informed, stop watching Sean Hannity....

He's not a really nice man to have said that.

How would you know anything about him?

Sometimes you need to shut up

Indeed.

Start watching 60 minutes because that's nearly exactly what he said. He labled the U.S. as an accessory to the crime of 9-11.
Well, weren't they?

Indeed.

ED BRADLEY: Are you in any way suggesting that we in the United States deserved what happened?

FEISAL ABDUL RAUF: I wouldn't say that the United States deserved what happened; but the United States policies were an accessory to the crime that happened.

BRADLEY: You say that we're an accessory?

RAUF: Yes.

BRADLEY: How?

RAUF: Because we have been accessory to a lot of innocent lives dying in the world. In fact, in the most direct sense, Osama bin Laden is made in the U.S.A.

Blame game. He hates us. Say it aint so, but it be so, indeed.

Their are billions of Christians worldwide, and we do have allies in this world. They may not help us, but we have them.
