DeLay Touts DOJ Decision to End 'Weak' Probe Into Ties to Lobbyist

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay declared Monday that he had been "exonerated" after the Justice Department informed him it had ended its six-year criminal investigation into his ties to former lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

If the evidence was so good against him why did they drop the charges?

Obviously they considered hounding out of office was sufficient.
Why go through a long and expensive trial when the verdict would be in so much doubt?

Maybe because powerful people and people with powerful friends get away with crap all the time.

Maybe the President said, "Oh, enough already."

    Who the hell knows?

    Who the hell cares?
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

This guy is such an asshole.

He claimed that he took lobbyist paid trips to save the tax payers money.

No, dummy, you're supposed to pay for golf out of your own pocket.

Another one who represents everything that is wrong with politics.

Why couldn't the 9/11 plane have landed on K-Street?

Its amusing looking at well known liberals wanting to dsimiss the fact they didn't even have enough evidence to even go to trail despite all the boogyman talk about this man years ago.
