http://www.nytimes.com/2010/08/20/sp...mens.html?_r=1Federal authorities have decided to indict Roger Clemens on charges of making false statements to Congress about his use of performance-enhancing drugs, according to two people briefed on the matter.
An announcement is expected shortly.
The indictment comes nearly two and half years after Clemens and his former trainer Brian McNamee testified under oath at a hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, directly contradicting each other about whether Clemens had used the banned substances.
Part of me WANTS MLB held to the fire over doping, and Clemens, while I LIKED him as a pitcher... Lying under oath man.. dumb.
I'm tempered by the fact that this ended up as a Gov't matter of this sort. The House and Senate have more important matters to deal with.
