BTW....... even if the dogs were my motive, what part of the Constitution limits my rights to freedom of speech and assembly only to those times I have a valid reason to exercise them? Article, section, clause, or amendment please.

This isn’t a waste of your time, it is an example of your fighting for the rights of something you believe in, but wanting to limit the rights of those you don’t agree with.
It's very simple: The Constitution gives you the right to peaceful assemble. You can demonstrate quietly, peacefully against damned near anything you want, but you can't become a nuisance even on public property. Therefore, local laws and ordinances dictate when you've gone beyond your right to assemble. So, if in my view you're being a nuisance, you will be asked to cease and dissist your demonstration no matter how "peaceful" you may deem it to be or be forceably removed, if necessary. It's just that simple.

Like I said, you are denying me my rights under the 1st amendment but fighting for the Imam's rights under the same amendment......... we're so proud of you.

WOW!!!!!!!! Imagine that?....... 54% of the people in the US are Republican opportunists.... who would have known?

    Thursday, July 22, 2010 Email to a Friend ShareThis.Advertisement
Just 20% of Americans favor the building of an Islamic mosque near the Ground Zero site of the World Trade Center in New York City, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.

Fifty-four percent (54%) oppose the planned building of a mosque near where Muslim terrorists brought down the skyscrapers by crashing commercial airliners into them on September 11, 2001. Three thousand people died in the incident and related attacks that day.
OH wait..... seems 1/2 of the dems and 1/2 the Independents are Republican opportunists too.

Seventy-six percent (76%) of Republicans and 50% of adults not affiliated with either major party oppose building the mosque near the World Trace Center site. Democrats are evenly divided on the question.

    Whatever...

Bringing you back to reality, if you really feel that strong against this Islamic Community Center being built, why do you take some time out of your busy schedule, draw up your picket signs and go march on the property in NYC instead of giving cyber-lip service here. Put your money with your mouth is, tough guy. Go exercise that freedom of assembly you feel you so rightly deserve.

Who said? I'm a Moderate-Democrat; my wife's a Moderate-Conservative. We both believe that gays and lesbians as humans have some basic human rights same as everyone else, but we both believe that marriage is and should always be between a man and a woman. So, come by that again?

Really. Do you do what you are advocating him do for any issue you feel strongly about?
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

He is a private citizen. How can he deny you your first amendment rights?

Come again? If you're asking if I understand why I'm suggesting Crunch to do? Sure! He has that right. I'm just saying instead of talking hypotheticals, maybe he should go to NYC and put his money where his mouth is if he really feels that strong about it.

Exactly! It wouldn't be me putting my hands on him taking him away. It would be the local police issuing him a citation for:

    - Disorderly conduct
    - Disturbing the peace
    - Being a public nusiance

And if necessary arresting him for the very same charges. But no one has denied him his right to peaceful assembly. The reason for him assembling in the first place would have changed and, as such, he should no longer be camped out in front of my house under the aforementioned scenario. It's just that simple.

I or a member of my home might call the cops, but it wouldn't be me removing him. It would be the law!

By and large. You are the exception; my apologies.
