Why, when the average motorist rarely travels more that 40 miles/day.

Hybrids go more than a hundred miles.

How do you think your vegetables, furniture, clothing, etc. will get to the store?? By a great big electric truck traveling across the country ???
    Biodiesel.

    I said a COUPLE hundred. I drive FAR more than 40 miles/day.

    Biodiesel.
Yeah, biodiesel is great, except in the winter. Better get ready for much higher shipping prices and resultant increases in the price of goods if biodiesel becomes popular. B100 costs significantly more than regular diesel. It also has the same problem as ethanol... it takes a lot of crops to make it.

True, but we still have to get the stuff from the trains to the stores/plants.

Possibly, would take a hell of a battery rack or a great improvement in batteries.... or take a lot of trips with smaller loads.

Get a dictionary and look up the word 'average'...

You're a GW denier. Your opinion on all things scientific doesn't carry any weight IMO.

But, in the interest of bringing you up to speed, everything you said wasn't true as of last year... Think Algae.

Adpst did. And now he's trying to change the subject.

Pt #2- I agree that in this type of recession throwing money was not the fix. However if you want to put some people to work during this period which is what the stimulus did then I would have preferred to have them do something that would have long term benefits to our economy.
Which apparently is happening now. From what I hear, projects across the US are going up with the Stimulus sign. The uber-funny **** is when the economy roars back to life after the financial problems are fixed, the GOP is going to try to take credit for what amounted to an artificial boost in infrastructure spending.

    Your's. There's a $400 credit on your taxes.

Since you're so much smarter and more knowledgable than the rest of us, it should be a piece of cake to show us that information
Oh I know. I just want you to actually educate yourself and stop being exceptionally lazy.

So tell me, how do you think higher taxes and less demand = more jobs. Or you could, as I predicted, just run away from that.

Hint: Running away from that now just proves I'm correct.
