Yes don't let the facts like you don't put a cup of liquid anything between your legs get in your way. Don't let the fact that the coffee was stored around at optimum temperature before being served get in your way either.
You seem to think I'm going to waste my time correcting you, don't you?

Have someone read the link I posted to you before again posting. It may help to keep you from posting more idiocy ... maybe.

Actually, IMHO, James is right on this one. Seems that the judge agrees with James too, since he reduced the amount of the damages the jury handed out. Still, and again, IMHO, there should have been no lawsuit, since Mrs. Liebeck, the plaintiff, was negligent in the handling of the coffee, and spilled it on her lap.

Interestingly enough, similar lawsuits against McDonald's in England have failed. These were against the hot tea that is served in restaurants there. In these lawsuits, it was established that, in order to make tea, water must be boiled, which means a temperature of 212 degrees F, much higher than the 180 degrees McDonald's brews its tea in the United States.

So, accordingly, I have to side with JamesRage on this one. America is a nation that is litigation crazy.

I read it. It doesn't change the fact that the temperature at which McDonald's maintains the temperature of coffee is considered optimal. Our coffee maker at home (my wife drinks it, not me) maintains the coffee at 85 degrees C (about 185 F) and a popular coffee chain here is called 85 Degrees (I think there are even more outlets of that chain here than even Starbucks).

How many people in the drive thru actually drink the coffee immediately upon it being given to you? Furthermore, it is VERY common in a drive thru for the coffee to be in the cup for 1-3 minutes prior to it being presented to the customer. It is incumbant on the customer to exercuse due care with any product being presented to him/her through a drive thru window.

It's unimportant to liberals whether a person is born here to gain the privileges of regular citizens. If nothing else they can become useful Democrat voters. Even the dead can vote Democrat. So even though Obama is a citizen, it wouldn't matter if he wasn't. Liberals still believe that he should be allowed to be president simply because they want him to be.

Nothing to do with this topic.

So even though Obama is a citizen, it wouldn't matter if he wasn't.

I think it would matter to liberals... In fact I think it'd matter to everyone.

Liberals still believe that he should be allowed to be president simply because they want him to be.

I think any reasonable person would assume he's allowed to be president because people voted for him in a free and fair election.

Conspiracy Theories-The place for insane conspiracy theories.

Maybe if you guys stopped making jokes about "birthers", people wouldn't think that you'd vote just anyone in as long as they're liberal. The concern of these people IS constitutionally based whether they are right or wrong about it. But given the voter fraud that's happened on the Democratic side, there is no evidence that this is conspiracy theory. So I think your comment is void. Sorry.

The evidence, even on this forum, says otherwise.

The circularity of this statement is astounding.

There is a certain kind of brilliance to it. I figure he was not serious about it, just being sarcastic.
