No just a random question and stealing a joke from Colbert.

We are not united on Ramadan. Muslims from different sects, countries have a pissing contest when Ramadan comes about, disagreeing on "when" the Moon shows. What signals the beginning of Ramadan? Does it start when the native country declares it or when Saudi's do? Follow tradition or science.

    Divisions among Muslims. Endless.
Is this a battle between 21st century Muslims and 7th century Muslims? (in mentality, of course)

And Muslims have been condemning, the difference is very few hear it. I am not going to sit here and pretend I spend all day condemning what Muslims do abroad because frankly. It is not my fault what other people do and I and other Moderates are not responsible for it.

What the Muslim community in US seem to be doing is just doing pre-empting those who will claim Muslims are celebrating 9/11 on Eid and trying to put out information. I don't blame them either.
How many Muslims are going to postpone the holiday recognition, out of respect for the victims of 9/11? Any?

I bet you're all going to be united when it comes to that.

Did you postpone watching football/baseball on 9/11 out of respect for the dead?
People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Yeah, it seems islamaphobia is rocking the US as it is Europe where we know xenophobic views are common place. I hope Democracy and common sense will prevail though, and avoid the US going down the usual European anti-Islam road. If it doesn't, we've lost tolerant America to the extremists, as we have much of Europe.

    God bless America man.

I don't like football. But, to answer your question, I do not partake in festivities on 6 June, 11 September, 7 December, or the last Monday in May.

    Anymore smartass questions?
