How about we compare him with similar presidents, not ones that had an exceptional event by this point in their administration. I know, actual similar presidents ruins your point, but it's more honest.

I guess I'm just sick of hearing about gay marriage day after day. I was tired on Friday, just got disgusted.

The public's thoughts on what the Constitution does or does not say is entirely irrelevant. The only real question is whether people would support legislation authorizing same-sex marriage.

The trendlines on the DK graph are also completely unscientific. It looks like the guy just drew lines on the graph by hand.
Exactly. Pretty much meaningless results. If they asked if people if they thought that marriage should be recognized as a union between a man and woman only they would get a different result. I think what people are answering is a resignation that it will probably happen regardless of what they think so I guess I should get used to it. Just more of the political drumbeat of most of the media. The gap has certainly closed though.

Do you also fear being eaten by Bigfoot? Because, you know, it has about the same chance of happening.

You mean like this from a CNN link I showed in post #61

Forty-nine percent of respondents think gay and lesbian couples have the constitutional right to get married and have their marriage recognized by law, while 51 percent say those rights do not exist.
