Again prove it, this is an out and out lie, the property wasn't purchsed until 2006 and the plan to build the mosque wasn't announced until 2009.

We're not protesting the state for allowing this to happen we're protesting this organization for doing it, that is what protest is all about. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be allowed to build it I'm saying they shouldn't build it, see the difference?

Do you have a source for that? Mine is someone on CNN, perhaps Wolf Blitzer, who said that the property had been obtained and the center had been planned before 2001. That's what I was going on. The discussion being bantied about made it seem as if that was common knowledge.

Not that it would change my opinion. The property is now legally owned, the Muslim Cultural Center is in compliance with all applicable laws and ordinances, ant there's no legal reason why it shouldn't be built... other than anti-Muslim sentiment, which has no place in a nation based on a foundation of religious freedom and religious tolerance.

The Mosque was not announced until 2009, a) even if the project was in the works before 9-11 the location was not decided upon until well after 9-11, and b) you are the ones making the claims that it was a project pre-dating the 9-11 attacks, it is up to you to provide a source for that assertion, and; furthermore, this organization has made numerous claims that this was a bridge building exercise in response to 9-11 so how could a bridge building project in response to 9-11 be in the works before 9-11?
