Gregg Gutfeld Says He Plans to Open Gay Bar Next to Mosque

Then why are you fighting it for 6 pages?

I'm not fighting it. I've been in favor of it since I saw it this morning on the news. I think Gutfield's appearance on Glen Beck was hilarious.

I was pointing out that Hatuey suggested that there might be issues with zoning because of Manhattan's strict rules about locating bars/clubs near religious congregations, and that this often happens with clubs/bars.

If zoning becomes a problem then place a Christian book store on one side, and a jewish synagogue on the other....See how diverse they are then.

I don't think they'll mind that at all, actually. I read somewhere that they have Christian and Jewish members in the board of directors of the planned Islamic center.

LOL....

Now we have right wing comedians....

Not sure just how right wing he is yet. Just turned into a fan a while back. However I'd say it's long over due. The left has Stewart, Colbert, Letterman, Mahr and I'm sure there are plenty more.

Right wing comedians usually suck..........

Alright, then I'm back to a Christian church at Mecca.

means dear friend. Its a ubiquitous term. sorta like d00d or bro, read the wiki more carefully next time.....

Maybe in hebrew....
In Arabic it means, "my love" "babe" "honey" **** like that.

Saudi Arabia is not the US. Russia tried to do the same thing. The Saudi government wanted to fund and Islamic school in Moscow. The Russians said they could if they were allowed to build a Russian Orthodox church in Riyadh. Saudi said they can't, and so the school was never built in Moscow. However, Saudi Arabia is irrelevant to this, and many Muslims I know believe Wahabbi Islam is really crazy.

The puns are hilarious, frankly, and most gay men would be the first to laugh at them.

Mr. Gutfield makes that point exceptionally well and in a humorous way. Tolerance is good, but if you expect it, you better be prepared to extend it. Muslims are notoriously intolerant of gays and lesbians, and really, anyone who doesn't tiptoe around their archaic views.

Personally, I won't speak for how either of those groups should feel about these jokes. I think they are is very poor taste, because they are mean spirited and not appropriate. Just looking at the jokes as comedy, they are much more like schoolyard taunts, bullying sort of jokes, they do not strike the proper balance. I emphatically do not grant that "Muslims are notoriously intolerant" whatsoever, and frankly this is representative of the bigotry towards Muslims that I have been talking about. I think it's close-minded to tar all Muslims with the same brush, it is just not fair. I wouldn't say all Christians are intolerant either, despite the staggering intolerance of certain Christians.

Kuwait and Iraq, Yes.

Then you should know. It means "Dear friend" and is often used as such. While it is used for "lovers" it also is used for "buddy, pal" etc.. especially in souther Iraq and kuwait.

Regardless, I wouldn't use whose primary meaning is lovers talking to Guy Incognito..... Just saying...

I always knew the Rev had a hardon for me, but this is ridiculous.

Oh really? Issuing fatwas against cartoonists and threatening to kill them is tolerant? Killing filmmakers in the streets of the Netherlands is tolerant? Killing contestants in beauty pageants is tolerant? Raping women because they don't wear a burqa is tolerant? Disallowing and persecuting other religious groups in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Lebanon, etc. is tolerant? The treatment of gay men/women in predominantly muslim nations has been tolerant?

I don't mean to offend you, but as a whole, Islam demonstrates incredible intolerance towards women, gays/lesbians, non-muslims, and anyone who dares to speak out against the faith. Islam, as a whole, is about as tolerant as scientology.

Don't like my perspective? Don't really give a ****. But calling Islam a religion of peace and tolerance is the sheerest stupidity since the countries where Islam is the norm are the antithesis of peaceful and tolerant.

I don't know any, do you?

Miller and his show was outstanding on HBO. I love his monolgue because you had to be up on history to understand many of his jokes.

No. Because they come out, they suck, they fail, and then they move on to obscurity.

Maybe Dennis Miller... I think you could call him a right wing comedian...
