ODESSA - Another chapter is being written in the KopBusters saga.
The man, once considered among America's top drug enforcement officers, has filed a lawsuit against a laundry list of defendants.

The 30 page document was filed in the United States District Court, Western District, in Austin last Friday. Barry Cooper, his wife Candi and four minor defendants are suing over 20 listed defendants.

The lawsuit asks for $40 million, saying it involves a real conspiracy against the Coopers, because of his controversial videos, "Never Get Busted" and the "KopBusters" reality show.

And what did ex-narcotics officer and top cop Barry Cooper do that eventually resulted in an alleged conspiracy against him by Texas law enforcement? A while back, Cooper set up a house with cameras and recording devices, then called the Odessa police department, and told them he thought there might be drug activity at the house. When police busted down the door of the house, Cooper's cameras caught them planting drugs. But that's not the best sting Cooper did. He also planted cameras in another house, and laid out a bag of cash, along with a few unused crack pipes. The cameras caught the cops stealing the cash. This is the video that the Odessa police department went nuts over, because it went viral, and has now been seen by millions.

At this time, Cooper has been charged with giving false information to the police. But, try as they might, the Odessa police department will never be able to bury the fact that they are as crooked as the day is long. The evidence is out there, on Youtube. Just Google kopbusters + youtube, and enjoy.

So what does this all go to show? Simply put, the War on Drugs has created more crime than it has stopped. And, at least here in Texas, these crimes are more serious, since it is the law enforcement community that is committing them. It is time to end this farce, known as the War on Drugs.

Rock on, Barry!

You know, the cops get pissed off at getting set up like that, but they're more than happy to cooperate with things like To Catch a Predator which can't be anything other than entrapment.
