WikiLeaks Data Seem to Show Pakistan Helped Attack American Troops

To all the Lefties that think this ok; I hope you're not the same ones that wanted to see heads roll over the Plame case.

I think they broke some of the secret ACTA policy proposals.

They did.
Have you seen the filth they have in that?
No wonder Governments want to keep it secret, what citizen would support being monitored if they knew??

When it comes to these wikileaks, I am more angry over reports of British soldiers killing civilians and the Polish doing "revenge attacks".
Someone needs to go to jail and it is not the leaker imo.

Were you there? Do you know any of the details? Are you biased, because you're a Muslim?

Perhaps the Poles had good damn reason to take revenge.

It's cute that they try to legislate it through treaty instead of through standard means, to avoid the bad publicity.

I value the leaked information.
Nationalism be damned.

Completely uncalled for.

Whether or not you agree with Laila, she is an excellent poster here.
She does not take personal religious beliefs when it comes to overt wrongs.

Funny how you never chastise anyone from the Left for doing the same thing. Eh?

Just callin' it like I see it.

Its bloody sneaky.
But at least I knew UK was one of the few countries that supported disclosing the information in public

What the hell, most people think I'm right wing.
Awesome, now I'm left.

Tomorrow, I'm gonna be down wing.

I've been accused of being racist, for simply disagreeing with Obama. Neeeeeever saw you swoop in for the big save, my man.

Again, just callin' it like I see it.

If for some reason it does succeed in closing down public trackers and file sharing.
Freenet and Darknet still exist, albeit a little slower than regular filesharing.

Well, no matter what wing someone thinks I am.
I'll always stand up for politeness, manners and freedom of information.

Accusing her of religious bias is uncalled for.

It won't, file sharing is anything if not evolving to counter new threats. But UK is at an interesting place, we passed a law which means ISPs have to spy on users but ISP's are pissed and are challenging it in court.

I don't what a "good" VPN is otherwise I'd have it now

So, the next time someone does it towards a Christian, or a white person, or whatever Libbo stereotype happens to present itself, we can expect you to be there to save the day? And, if not, we can assume that in this instance, you're simply trying to look cool by covering for a Muslim?

If I notice someone making implicitly bigoted comments towards a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, etc.
I'll call them out on it.

I only hold an exception for scientology.
Because it's not a real religion.

Whatever, brother.

to you it is found unpatriotic to disclose the truth

no surprise

What's the harm in releasing secrets or sensitive material in the war against Hitler? Or releasing material during the Cold War against the Soviet Union?

It's irresponsible and dangerous to the cause. Only an idiot would insist on complete disclosure of material and call it "patriotic duty." If the result is harmful to the ultimate goal then **** the "truth."

This "wikileak" crap is mere drama for the civilian masses anyway. No one in Afghanistan is shocked of the war in their very midsts. It's the kind of garbage the nobodies of the world will use to insist on failure and defeat. Hail the enemy.

ok, so make an actual point. give us an instance in the war against third reich where the US government failed to level with the American public, and where disclosure of that wrong doing by American forces would have been damaging if disclosed. being unable to do that, your attempt to make a valid counterpoint fails

let's look at the similar instance of the pentagon papers to recognize that when the facts of the war were revealed, our nation's participation in another wrong war was curtailed ... saving the lives of young soldiers and reducing the size of a deficit budget

i was unaware that the US funded pakistani ISI was aiding the efforts of the afghani insurgency until reading the recent wikileaks material. surprised you knew that already
or that many more collateral casualties have been perpetrated by NATO forces than had been officially acknowledged, and that some of those may have been intentionally inflicted
maybe collateral murder is something you do not mind happening in the name of your country. others of us want to know these things because, as citizens, it is our obligation to right our government's wrongs. if those wrongdoings are hidden, we do not become aware that they need to be fixed
Hail the enemy.
there are times when pogo's classic carton appears to be accurate: "i have found the enemy and it are us"

Oh you can be smarter than this. Are you actually seeking to dismiss the fact that fratricide is a long tradition in war? Or that civilians have lost their homes and lives since the beginning of time during war? Were the American people privy to all combat actions and moves in Europe or in the Pacific? Did they have an insider seeking to blast every imperfect action or sensitive aspects of movements? Before the war was won, did the "justabubbas" of the world get blasted with the ugly truth that is war? My attempt to make a point smacked you right in the face. Ducking for cover won't remove the sting.

God, again with the desparate Vietnam cliche. This "wikileak" garbage is far from the Pentagon Papers.

Well, you still don't know anything. You are drawing conclusions from reports that draw conclusions. Do you know the complete truths or merely rampaging about in a temper tantrum over bits and pieces of this or that? Why should you be aware of any of this anyway? Who the hell are you? Did you know everything that went on during the Cold War of spies and espionage? You are aware that most things that occur between governments are not in your realm of public knowledge? And should not be? Do you actually believe that you getting an inside glimpse into what ensures your petty undeserving freedoms - in one way or another - means that you will somehow "right a wrong?" They simply choose a different necessary wrong and move on. All the things you detest is called diplomacy. It is called pulling strings and compromising in the face of greater threats or violence. When people like you make self-gratifying statements like "war is a last resort," what the hell do you think goes on to make the wars smaller or non-existent? If war is a last depraved and violent resort, what the hell do you think the steps before this are? The idea that government is supposed to reveal all, no matter what it hurts, is an impractical illusion projected by people who need to feel that utopia is merely one protest away.

You demand perfection in a world that demands treachery, skilled diplomacy, and brutality in order to preserve or make "peace."
