Arab guilty of rape after consensual sex with Jew

CNN-International reported earlier today that Jewish men have been punished under similar rules. However, the report did not elucidate as to what rules/laws were in question...

There's a law in Israel that states that if a man decieves a woman to get into bed with her he might be accused with rape, if the woman would not have agreed to have sex with the man were he not claiming a false identity.
It's one of those stupid and weird feminist laws that the majority of the public doesn't even know that exist.

I agree, stupid, but apparently a handful of U.S. states have them too.... yeah, feminists want to be equal, but they also want laws to protect women as if they are somehow idiots or something... pathetic...

in the case of a communicable disease, I would understand, but religion???

It wasn't just that, the man was telling the woman he is a single man looking for a serious and long-term relationship, while he was a married man who has looked for a one-night stand with her.
Anyway hopefully he would be able to appeal and hopefully we will see this law removed from the face of earth.

My apologizes, I did not realize your extensive knowledge of Israeli law. Well, if there is no Israeli law stating that sex by deception is rape then I absolutely agree with you, its not a crime. Thanks for clearing it up.

Rape is any act of sexual intercourse that is forced upon a person. This term applies regardless if it is legal or illegal. The man had consensual sex with the woman therefore it is not rape, it doesn't matter that he told her he was jewish, arab, Bill Gates favorite Nephew or what ever. He didn't tie her up, drug her to knock her out, nor did he threaten violence against the woman or someone else she cares about to have sex with him,so he did not force her to have sex with him. There is no such thing as rape by deception regarding a willing participant who was not forced against his or her will to have sex. If someone had a fake gun or appeared very strong but was really weak and threatened a woman with it to have sex with him yeah that is rape by deception.

Screwed by deception? Some might call that karma. LOL!

So having had some alcohol and then initiating sex would make it impossible to be labeled as rape to you, because the sex is not forced upon them and they're consenting, yes?

I think it is absolutely ridiculous to charge someone with rape just because they had sex with a drunk chick.

I think there's levels to it, but to a point I actually agree. Which is I guess my issue with the whole "moral outrage" to this. I'm not having a giant moral outrage towards the notion that our laws can have a guy convicted of rape for having sex with a girl that had 3 beers, so I don't see why I should be having one over this.

There should be moral outrage over a law that convicts someone of having sex with a girl that had any beer.

It depends. Is she drunk and actually cooperating? Is she engaged in the act? Or is she a semi-conscious rag doll? If the former, I agree with you. If the latter, she is raped.

I cannot count how many times, in my younger years, (hrumphhh.:3oops:) that the drunk lil' girlies partying with me got a little ripped and wanted to get their freak on.

And, I admit, on occassion I was known to accomodate them.

Would they have not been so anxious to jump in the sack had they not been drinking? Perhaps not. But as we say in Texas, "Make hay when the sun shines."

Were you drinking as well?

If so then you could claim you were raped
