Honestly, I think Sarah Palin would be ideal for RNC chairman... er, chairwoman. She has a savvier political eye than many people give her credit for, and has already become to a large extent a face of the party. I don't think she should/will be President, but she's going to want to get a position in something eventually. She'd do a better job than Steele, in any case.

What does the RNC chair...do anyway? And what makes you think Palin would be more qualified in any way beyond her being more popular?
He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

I'm pretty sure they oversee the party's distribution of funds and efforts for different candidates across the country. Which she already sort of does some to begin with, since all of her endorsements somehow end up being big news. I figure it might as well be more official.

    Please.... make this happen?

The Republican National Committee (RNC) provides national leadership for the Republican Party of the United States. It is responsible for developing and promoting the Republican political platform, as well as coordinating fundraising and election strategy. It is also responsible for organizing and running the Republican National Convention. Similar committees exist in every U.S. state and most U.S. counties, although in some states party organization is structured by congressional district, allied campaign organizations being governed by a national committee. Michael Steele is the current RNC chairman, and will serve until January 2011.

This does sound like a giant pain in the ass as well as expertise that you would think would be more to political strategists and not the candidate. I am going to post every chairman since 1960. The wiki does indicate that Bush I was the only person to be chairman and President and that many were governors. You really think Palin wants to take a pay cut and do this?
