Since when does our government give a **** about what is said in some media-source?

If Fox and right-ers *had* some sort of influential POWER then don't you think they'd've made full use of it to KEEP Obama from the presidency?

You would have thunk that the media would have learned their lesson when Breitbart posted those heavily edited and completely misleading Acorn videos. But oh no, they made the same stupid asinine mistake once again. Both out-of-context and fabricated videos have lead the the downfall of one organization and the dismissal of another person. I shake my head at the craziness of it all. It just goes to show you have people can be so easily duped.
“No men are anywhere, and I’m allowed to go in, because I’m the owner of the pageant and therefore I’m inspecting it,” Trump said... “‘Is everyone OK’? You know, they’re standing there with no clothes. ‘Is everybody OK?’ And you see these incredible looking women, and so I sort of get away with things like that.”

    ACORN, for one.

It was my understanding that she was fired by her immediate supervisor....with calls from Washington to "handle it."

I'm not sure how I personally feel about it -- because I understood her dismissal. But, in the scheme of things, it's just not that important now that it's resolved.

One thing I am sure of is that had this been a white woman relating her experience in the same exact way, she'd be forever toast. We still have that double standard, I'm thinkin'.
I don't think so. I'd like to believe that fairness given the facts would have ruled the day. We have to remember that we all relied on a heavily edited video tape that not only showed Mrs. Sheddon's actions in present-day which was incorrect but also failed to illustrate and expand on the fact that:

    1. The act in question occurred long before she was employed by the USDA.

    2. That Mrs. Sheddon's speech was all about racial unity.

    3. That the man she initially mistreated did receive the full benefit of her professional service which even he (and his wife) has stated that her actions directly helped him to save his farm.

This incident was racially polorized; I don't think anyone can deny that. But I'd like to think that all things being equal, if this exact same thing had happened to a white woman, everyone involved with mischaracterizing her or getting her fired would be issuing her an apology.

@ Objective Voice -- I'd like to think so, too. But I don't. It's the world we live in, I'm afraid.

    "I'm sorry", doesn't cut it.
I'm waiting for the NAACP to apologize for applauding the initial discrimination she described.

What people... the employees of ACORN? If so, are you aware that the video were heavily doctored to the point where it was completely and utterly misleading?

And the White House put pressure on for her to be fired.
