But I do find it sorely disappointing, and downright scary, that our leaders in Washington were gullable enough to fall for their crap. Those people monitor the "red phone" and have their hand next to the "red button." I would expect them to be a bit smarter than the rightwing, spoonfed, sheeple. Appearantly, they are not.

If there is anything positive about this is that they are righting wrongs and making amends. And, it is also a glowing example of how our rightwing media machine lies, slants, spins their propaganda just to satisfy their America hating, disgruntled followers. I expect the RW sheeple to swallow their media spew hook, line and sinker. The get no points for intelligence. Never have. But the people in high office should know better. The common man on the street does (rightwing zealots notwithstanding. They believe anything that pleases their ear.)
What I find disappointing is your claim that only "right wing" news reported this sorry event. ALL news media reported it ! Fox News did nothing more and nothing less than CNN did.

It was the Obama administration that jumped the gun on this, and especially the NAACP. I find it disgusting that the NAACP would jump on Sherrod's case when they had easy access to the entire speech. They then had the unmitigated gall to blame Fox for their own stupidity.

My post about hypocrisy was in response to someone else, and then you responded by saying that what she said and did in the past was racist... I responded that your comment had nothing to do with my post about hypocrisy, and we all got confused after that. Sorry.

And the NAACP reacted more quickly and hastily than the "right-wing media" at Fox News apparently were told to:

The story created the hype, not the other way around; nobody is at fault for "hyping" the tape, and if they are, then the hype comes from both the left and the right.
The rightwing media set the ball in motion. The blame falls SQUARELY on THEIR shoulders. And I believe it was intentional. Either they did not vet the story and check for accuracy or they did and decided to run with it anyways. I think it was the latter. Their viewers eat it up too.

This is the same media that was assisting Bush and his minions in decieving the nation, and congress, to lead us into a war with Iraq. They have no honor OR credibility and I think they are a scurge upon American society. Such is the pitfall of freedom of speech, I suppose. I wish a pox upon their traitorous house. And those that support their programming and sponsors are just one step above those who support terrorism in my humble opinion.

I think Yes, they probably would. Given Sherrod's extrodinary life though --- I think I can forgive her language because I don't think she knows better. Some people are just racist without ever knowing it - others are too sensitive about every little word used that they become outraged. We have to be somewhere in the middle.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

The media didn't call Sherrod three times and insist on a resignation or initially over-react. That was the White House and the NAACP.

Who are you calling the "right wing media"???? The ONLY mention of this episode before she was fired was the single web site of Breitbart.

Fox News did not air anything about this until AFTER she was fired.

Now, you give me an example of the opposite, and we'll see who is the hypocrite.
Actually this is as good as anyplace to start. When THIS case hit I was the first to say it was a bull**** hit piece...did so the day before. I dont watch fox news...dont listen to ANY of the wingers...left or right...and I kinda try to call it like it is...not pick and choose which pieces are conveeeeeenient for my points. Hypocrisy...not on MY side..

Now you...how many of YOUR posts contain the words "right wing" in your condemnations? When the story broke that racists wouldnt be prosecuted and every media outlet seems to ignore it...were you inflammed about that injustice or did you defend it because...oh yeah...YOUR side...

Yeah...I'll play the 'who is a hypocrite' game with you any day of the week. Course...I have the advantage of seeing how you play for quite a while...

The sad part is, even after this blatant display of rightwing propaganda tactics, there are some that will still swear by the aforementioned media hacks. They let people piss in their hair and convince them it's raining. But what can ya do? Stupidity is still legal here in the USA. One only has to be of legal age to vote. Intelligence has no bearing on the right to vote. America. Gotta love it!
I listen to all of them. I think Beck get's a bit weird sometimes with his theories, but he also makes good points sometimes. Limbaugh is a sexist pig, but does make good points at times also. Same with the others. I think singling out 'right wing propganda' from the 1 conservative network out there is a bit innapropriate also as everyone reported on this issue and the left certainly has it's sheeple following their own media hacks. I don't know why this debate turned into right/left thing.

Thats pretty chicken**** if you ask me. "The Right Wing Media" consists of...what exactly? Fox News and a few internet sites? So you are saying you and apparently the White House and NAACP are THAT stupid to just get whambooozled by them? Reeeeally?

I wonder...if Fox news is the vast "right wing" media complex what you must think of the rest...
