Wow, the lack of reading comprehension of some is simply amazing. Where did make the statements you attributed to me, exactly?

They should be lumped into the same category as the people who bombed 9/11, but not punished. Right?

This does give the impression that your zeal is only directed against Islamics.

Are you going to actually respond to what I am saying or are you going to keep trying to play these idiotic "gotcha" games with attributing your feigned indignation to my posts?

I mean seriously...save us some time now and let me know what your intentions are because if it's to keep doing what you're doing, I have no further interest in it. So what's it gonna be, Catz?

Then your perception is warped and you might want to read twice before posting to give yourself an extra chance to digest it.

I see very clearly that what you want is to treat the individuals who want to build the mosque as if they are somehow responsible for, or implicated in, the attacks of 9/11.

And what I would say to that is that we are not engaged in a religious war. We are a country where the government stays out of religious affairs, by and large. And, I do not believe that we should encourage local governments to discriminate on the basis of religion in issuing building permits.

If people aren't interested in the Mosque, they can exercise the same religious liberties I do every sunday, and refrain from attending.

Or, maybe your posts are about 90% emotionalism and 10% logic.

That's your warped opinion then and not at all in line with anything I stated.

No, but it was sparked by an act of religious zeal by a group that has legitimate claims to representation of the religion, worldwide. A little sensitivity is in order from the rest of the adherents of the religion. I would expect the same of Christians.

We are a country where the government stays out of religious affairs, by and large.
Building monuments isn't a religious affair.

And, I do not believe that we should encourage local governments to discriminate on the basis of religion in issuing building permits.
And I don't believe we should take the power of the legal system, the market, and public demonstration out of the hands of the people or their local elected officials.

OK, I'm done with you at this point. You and those who act like you, calling people fascists and other "emotionalism" are exactly why my stays away from here get more and more lengthy. I'll just end this now and let you have your last word so you can feel good about yourself for the rest of the day.

No need to get all butthurt just because your position is illogical, Jall.
