any proof of that.
Well, I think this is a good post -- letting some people know they're taxes went down. A lot of the tax credits to 'special interests', (and by that I mean, families with children, yada yada yada) are what make "the rest of us" nuts, though.
What your thread has pointed out, to me, is that our tax system needs a complete overhaul. Like throw it in the garbage and start over overhaul. (Like that's news. But Obama's 5-Minutes-To-File proclamation is a joke. 2009 Income Tax Instruction Booklet: 102 pages.
any proof of that.
Yeah I just started a thread about this.
your thread doesn't prove anything
does it have sources?
I find most of those tests to be a joke BTW
Biden is a fascist
80 billion in cuts? Please tell me this is a bad joke. Whoever believes this is beyond delusional and there is no hope for you.
Obama is a serial liar, at this point you cant beleve one word the guy says but someone is trying to spread this kind of BS. Shame on you for going along with all the lies and trying to propagandize us with this crap.
The only way by which a Tax form can be completed in 5 minutes is to have an extremely simple Tax system, also the same rate applies over everything, whether Income or Sales.
Think Flat Tax.
The main problem with this form of tax is that it would decimate the manning levels at the IRS as well as render almost half a million Tax accountants unemployable, then think of all the Tax Lawyers who would become unemployable.

Edit: Actually, it was adjusted on the employer withholding end, it turns out. So it's even easier for someone to be unaware that it even happened.

Then another poster mentioned it effected paychecks by around $13/week. That really irritates me. That's your government manipulating you, yes? We want to give it to the peasants in dribs and drabs so they won't put it in the bank -- or actually pay off a bill with it. I'm not blaming Obama in particular for this -- our government plays these games allll the time.
I don't usually complain about the bailout, but I will now. The banks and big business get billions in chunks...and the people paying for it get dribs and drabs...nothing helpful to them, only something to help the economy.
See this is what we're talking about. Peoples' taxes went down and most of them aren't even aware of it.
The point being that while Bush had the lowest income taxes in history.
The point being that while Bush had the lowest income taxes in history, Obama shaved off a slight bit more. Among other tax cuts, of course. So we come around back to the original point that people protesting that their taxes are too high because Obama raised them are delusional.
speaking of delusional.
IN HISTORY
does your history stop at 1930?
under Bush the top of the tax pyaramid carried a much higher burden of the total tax burden then almost any time in history
"Instead of having all of us pay our fair share, we've got over $1 trillion worth of loopholes in the corporate tax code,"
That's a bull**** statement of the century - no one pays their "fair" share. . . it'll be less "fair" after this than before it, you know . . . it's not "fair" when the majority of people don't pay various taxes . . . and some pick up *all* that slack.
I don't take my news straight from the presidents mouth. Maybe that's why you don't really know whats going on but he cut taxes in 2010 for 97% of the population. Sorry if this doesn't agree with your liberal picture of him but facts are facts.
Adding to this figure the 15 million households and individuals who file no tax return at all, roughly 121 million Americans—or 41 percent of the U.S. population—will be completely outside the federal income tax system in 2006.
This is why no one takes you or Barry seriously...... this is from 2006, but I doubt things have gotten better.
The Tax Foundation - Number of Americans Paying Zero Federal Income Tax Grows to 43.4 Million
So if only 59% of the US. population pay any taxes at all, how did Barry cut taxes for 97% of the population? Is this the new math that is taught in school these days?
Here's a tip that might help you:
Not paying income taxes is not the same thing as not paying any taxes.
Clarification, 95% of working families got a tax cut, not necessarily 95% of the population. If you had no income there's no income tax to cut. Or if your work was off the books. Or if you're retired or something, I guess.True.... so what taxes did Barry lower for 97% of the population?

On further investigation, it was income tax! So while factually correct, my previous statement about "not paying income tax and not paying tax being different" is not really relevant.
The tax credit occured on the employer-withholding side. 95% of working families got a $400 or $800 tax credit, in the form of less withholding from your paycheck.
edit: On further further investigation, if your tax liability was so low as to have you actually not having withholdings or not paying income tax, it basically ends up being a $400/$800 check similar in nature to previous stimulus checks. I guess in those cases "bonus income" or something would be a better description, but the effect is the same.
The budget proposal that the Obama Administration released on February 26, 2009 calls for $989 billion in additional taxes over the course of the next 10 years. Starting in 2011, Obama would raise $636 billion from individuals and $353 billion from businesses over 10 years.
But, maybe more significant than the additional tax revenue, Obama is also proposing to shift the source of approximately $65 billion a year federal government receipts from individual income taxes to climate taxes.
Let’s take a look.
Tax Increases on Individuals
The tax code is about to get a bit more progressive. Obama proposes to raise approximately $635 billion over the ten years starting in 2011 from the highest earning tax payers. These tax increases are to be used as a down-payment on comprehensive health care reform.
$338 billion - The bulk of the increase in government revenue will come from the Obama Administration’s decision to let the Bush tax cuts expire after 2010 for married couples who earn more than $250,000 in gross income and singles who earn more than $200,000. The top two federal income tax brackets would rise to 36 percent and 39.6 percent from 33 percent and 35 percent, respectively.
$179 billlion - Obama’s budget proposal would cap at 28% the tax break for itemized deductions. Essentially, this means that those persons in the highest tax brackets, soon to be 36 percent and 39.6, will not receive a deduction for the full amount of their mortgage interest, state and local taxes and charitable contributions.
$118 billion - Obama proposes to raise the capital gains income tax five percent, to 20 percent. Approximately $24 billion of this amount comes from the Obama proposal to tax the profits of private-equity fund managers and venture capitalists as ordinary income instead of capital gains.
edit again: Why do you call the president Barry? Do you think it helps your argument?
Yeah, it's not much. But it exists. If it is assessed on your tax return, is there really a difference between a rebate and a decrease? This is literally a semantic argument you're making. So you are claiming a tax rebate is a tax decrease?.... ok, $400 per person, be still my beating heart.
 We've got to repay the debt created by previous tax cuts.
His birth certificate says Barack Hussein Obama on it...Barry Soetoro was Barry's last known legal name.

Barry Soetoro appears to be a birther myth.
