He finally cracked whole numbers in his batting average huh? Wow, didn't think the fat sloppy crybaby had it in him. George S. was quite the humanitarian, oh, and Mr. Henry of the Sox had quite a few great things to say about him today, so yes I think he will be missed Luda. It's alright though, you're still okay in my book.

Hey, the Astros are my neighbor roughly, I do pull for them in my own way. Just wish they'd get it all together and make the NLC just a bit more interesting.

Hate the Yankees. Always have. Steinbrenner both helped bring baseball to the limelight with his behavior and his signing of free agents, and horribly damaged baseball by his "buying" pennants. What he brought to baseball is one of several reasons that I ceased to watch what used to be my favorite sport, in the 90's.

Regardless, in the '70s, his "behavior" was one of the factors that brought about baseball's resurgence. RIP and my condolences to his family.

Henry has to for propriety's sake. Fans of the Red Sox Nation don't have to me... I hate Furious George and while I don't wish for anyone's demise, I won't miss him either...

Fair enough. George did as much good as he did bad.........and I don't have to tell you about the whole winning side of that. But hey, you either loved or hated the Boss so you are more than entitled to your opinion.

People complain about the Yankees but whenever they come to town the stadium is full......They just played a 4 game series in Seattle....The Mariners are terrible this year and have been averaging less then 20,000 people a game...........In the 4 games the Yankees played the Mariners they had a full house every game....Every place they go the fill the house...I fon't hear teams complain about that..............

Real teams like the Red Sox don't need the Skankees in town to help fill the place up. Fenway is always filled to the rafters...

Truth. We leave the stadium when the Yankees show up.

OK not really, but we are breed to hate them.
