Catholics have Canon Law.
Muslims have Fiqh and the Ulama's in all five schools of Islamic Fiqh have come to Ijma rulings favoring capital punishment/and or corporal punishment for apostasy, adultery, premarital sex, and homosexuality.

You know the right thing would be for the muslims to not even propose this. The japanese never proposed building a Japanese temple at Pearl harbor. It sickens that in this subject is making muslims out to be victims.

The difference between the "Muslim world" and US is that one is democratic and the other isn't. One enumerates individuals rights and some of the others do not.
One claims to be a free society whilst the other is oppressive.
Comparing them both is laughable.

And yet I have disagreed with my Muslim neigbhor and many of his Muslim friends and yet no threats against me or my family have happened in the past 5 years. Care to admit that you are using gross generalizations or are you going to continue being a liar?

Ya this Mosque is a clear fist, they have every right to build it, but ask yourself one thing, why are they having the ground breaking ceremony on 9-11 of all days? Give me a ****ing break, these people need to be protested day in and day out until they decide to build their little temple to oppression somewhere the **** else.

If the 152-year-old Burlington Coat Factory building at 45 Park Place is determined to have landmark status, that designation would mean the building cannot be torn down to make way for the Islamic cultural center.
